I have 5 folders on my micro usb - If you have randomize on - it will treat them as one big disk

Just had my recall done with the 15000 service and I got this Brake cover too. 

Mine was set, as I assume most of you would have also, as Auto apply with park Position.

I never go near the EPB switch so I am a bit annoyed with this new cover which looks to my eye a bit ugly

And now I have nowhere for my garage remote to sit

Insurance was about par with my previous Santa fe

Tyre's - cant say yet - but I'm guessing around similar 500 odd when I need to replace

Easy enough to google tyre prices based on tyre size

Turbos are powered by the exhahust gases and at around 0.5 Bar will multiply engine by Half so your 1.2 basically becomes a 1.8

It does not strain the engine - if anything it becomes more nimble

The servicing is fixed at $195  and costs half as less as a corolla

Regarding economy - I'm averaging around 7.0 L per 100 Kms

I have a great run to work in the morning averaging 5.9 - but a horrid drive home that takes me twice as long where I usually go 7.3

Not how functioned in my previous vehicles - aircon would light up when set to lower temp when under Auto

If I have to select Aircon and have lit - The light indicates its running all the time right - even when you pump heater up to max - aircon is still on

With the warmer weather I am using the Climate control a bit more.

I find it it very strange compared  to my past vehicles

Normally a low temp setting and Auto engages the air-conditioner

But I also have to select the ac button as well or I just get hot air blowing at a fast rate

Is everyone else's like this ?

but I find the sound adequate

There is a graphic equaliser in the head unit which should let you tweak some

But this is what i will be looking to replace

will be number one on the hit list

Just wondered about phone connectivity with all of you with stock head unit

I often miss calls or cant make them

The Phone actually rings (usually on silent in my pocket)

or if i try to dial out - nothing appears on the head unit but the phone itself will initiate the call

Which I then can't hear because there in no Audio

Therein the problem

it says phone connects when get int he car but when checking Bluetooth profile on phone - Phone audio is not, and can't be selected

Rebooting Un-pairing and re-pairing both, I can manage to connect and have phone audio on - on the profile

But I know eventually the same will happen again

Toyota  don't claim compatibility with all phones

maybe it's my phone ?

I believe it was a problem with Turkey manufactured vehicles only that had Dab radio

I think that seemed to be the common factor

At least you know they didn't dump an old head unit in your car

Part of the problem is they designed the trim differently for the Aussie models ( and maybe US as they get a 7")

You can see the ghosted pic of a flipped Aussie dash I have overlaid on the Euro Model below

Yeah - I found this too eventually - its really annoying - in the end I muted her

in my previous unit you could adjust the sat nav volume with the knob when she was speaking - if not would adjust the actual music/volume

i had it done - It was free - why not ? - I organised it for first appointment at 8:30 and was over by 9:30

Just took a run to Ballarat on Saturday to see the Doctor Blake exhibition

The car pulled brilliantly up the hills with the wife and I aboard

I was Hovering around 7.0 / 7.1 all week

But car is on 6.7 today after that trip

And Tradie's day off today made for a smoother run to work

I got the new car survey in an email today so I gave them another serve

Form the reviews on the Play store - Toyota links sucks - hasn't been updated in years and the only reason to get it - Pandora - are now closing their doors in Australia

I bought a micro usb of Ebay - put my 1000 + songs on it - Watch out - 255 files per folder limitation - so you can't dump them all in the root dir

The micro usb sits pretty flush  - but if you want to close the door - the thumb pull pulls of easily  and and then you can -  you'll need tweezers to pull it back out to add more songs

I don't know the real price of this part number (86271-0E173 if you are interested) but can be found on ebay new for around $200

I found my wife's Mazda card on ebay for this price also - The dealer wanted $800 - for a SD card !

Anyway - I think it's poor form by Toyota - I don't want to have to pay again for maps when they do come out again

Likewise - in my old car - I would put a new head unit in in a minute - I did.

But my car is so shiny new - I don't want -  and should not have to replace the Head unit

I want that 8" from the Europe Models - Toyota Europe provides free map updates
