Where did u get it and how much?
Hmmm I don't think it will prevent anything if you drove in a lake, but neither would your standard airbox. I imagine it would keep your filter cleaner and dryer from splashes and water that gets in between the bumper gaps and splash guards, so all you'd really have to do is wash the bag every now instead of the filter. Seems like a good idea to me!!!!!!

Hey if any1 wants a whitline strut brace, they can have mine for $140 pick up in Melb.
-
2 day update, 1-2nd shifting is still smooth and has never missed a beat
-
maybe check your pedal height with technical manual (above).
-
Ah drove it to work this morning, with my newly adjusted clutch pedal. Gear changes are so smooth now.
It a dream to drive now, once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how can toyota issue a recall for somthing thats caused by wear and tear?? its like them issuing a recall for the tyres because they wear down when you drive the car.....
What a novel idea I wonder when Hyundai will do it...
I don't know of any other car that does not allow you to select 2nd after a high RPM gear change. Seems like its only the corolla and not the celica with this problem (tell me if I'm wrong). Clearly something is not right there. Plus i just had a service!!!!!!!!!!!!
I needed an adjustment at 1000km, 10000km, 30000km and now 60000km. Thats alot of adjustment if you ask me. I'm sick of taking it back and the problem returning. and causing damage to my box.
-
Yeah I know, I have attached the adjustment procedure. Now it is within correct parameters
Freeplay was fine in mine, a slight pedal height adjustment was all that needed adjusting.

After getting my car back from the last service a few weeks ago, I haven't been able to engage second gear over 7500RPM. Now i'm not sure if Toyota adjusted my clutch pedal or it was just time for an adjustment, but it drove me nuts!!!!!!!! I would either brake my arm trying to get it into second or it would crunch second when the clutch was fully depressed.

Just respray the bonnet or bumper every 3 years or so. Stone chips just happen.
-
outer diameter of nuts?????????
-
I also understnad the MAF sensor may kick up a stink if the diameter is too great (i.e. over 2.8inches)
-
Just buy Cuscos, worth the extra cash.
-
I dont care
-
Yes i hate rusty nuts, thats why i want a new set;)
-
whats the outer diameter of the nuts?

Hey i'm really considering this Supercharger kit, especially after being beat by a 90's saab 9000 this morn (although i did miss lift in second, time 4 another clutch adjustment i think). Anyway so emabarressed, laugh it up guys.
-
Prop have to get it from a wreck, thats what i did. Maybe ring up some panel beaters with smashed corollas. Toyota requires you to buy a whole headlight, well thats what 2 dealerships told me anyway since it is not a seperate part.

Bringing this 1 back up again as tyre tread is getting kinda low. Does any1 with 225/40 18's have trouble getting 1st to 2nd lift changes. Please let me know as I am thinking about getting a 40 profile tyre soon
-
show us pics anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Also 7.5 inch is also your problem, 7inch is the perfect size for a Rolla. Ive gone from a 7.5 inch on 18's with scrubbing to a 7inch 18 (with the same tyres) and absolutly no scrubbing.
-
Ahh also, fuel!!!!!!!!!!maybe fill up somewhere new!!!!!!!!!
-
Maybe they changed your seating postion after your service, so things don't feel right. Hey don't laugh, it does put out your comfort zone. I couldn't hit lift between gears after my sevice last week, pushed my seat a little back, now no problems
Also maybe lift feels dead cuz power may have picked up earlier for some reason!!!so the rush from nothing to something has gone!!!!!!!
-
The cosmos blue look good, what are they like for visibility?
-
Did you adjust the beam level down?
Corolla Sportivo not engaging 2nd in lift!!!!!!

Well that what i thought till the problem came back. It can be the driver, cuz there are alot of sportivo driver out there who cannot shift to save their lives, but there is defineltly a problem here. Plus I am running the stock clutch as with many others here. I assume your running aftermarket Northy, maybe when the aftermarket clutches are adjusted correctly, they actually let you get into gear for their lifespan.
