  1. Hey, don't worry bout it guys, got autobarn to colour match and fit them for 170. Thanks
  2. Hey, bought some parking sensors that came black and the packages said that it can be painted with acrylic paints...just wondering if anyone knows how i can match the mist green (6t6) with acrylic... thanks
  3. Motorama Toyota at Salisbury...and guess what, they said it was all fixed (couldn't find any problem with the sensor, wiring or the abs system) this monday and i was all happy...until the light came on again...so i will be taking it back again next week... Lodged a formal complaint with toyota's customer relations department. A report will be sent to the Manager, Service Manager, and customer relations manager at Motorama toyota. Basically, the complaints includes my dissatisfaction with the vehicle where in this case, the constant failure of parts and in our Aurion's case, car was delivered in pre-delivery mode. Further complaints includes the service provided by Motorama Toyota where by the service manager is almost always out of the office or i here by quote "Manning the service allocation"...you'd think they would have someone more junior doing that...and the lack of initiative in finding a problem when I clearly identified that the steering was making a noise.... And i remind you all that all it took me when i took the guy out for a test drive the second time was back the car out of the parking spot and park it straight back in...that's how obvious the noise was...strangely enough...they couldn't hear it the first time.
  4. Haha, i would go there...but i'm in Brisbane here...bit far...don't plan to drive 1500 km to get quality service But ya, we've got three Toyota as well...Tarage, my Rav and the Aurion Prasara...which mind you was delivered to us in pre-delivery mode i had to make 4 phone calls to get someone to shed some light on it (Toyota link who then said to call dealer, then said service department...then said toyota link...then said service department...), and then had to take it in to the service department to get it taken out of it... Either i'm having a real bad year with toyota...or something is wrong...
  5. No, i would prefer to have the Technician, being honest the first time, admit that there is a problem, inspect it and tell me to bring it back in one more time, fix it and not cause another problem.... This problem could have easily been resolved in 2 visits....but i have to go back 7 TIMES!!!!
  6. Ok, had the '06 rav for a year now... 1. the OEM tires are ****...(i've experienced and heard numerous cases where the wheels get cut on the side) 2. heaps of common problem...noise from transmission...lose of power, noise from steering (which i've experienced) in fact, i only picked up my car the other day after Toyota replaced the steering shaft for me, 10 mins into the drive, i had the ABS, 4WD and Park break warning lights lit... Took it straight back to the service department...they ran a check on it and told me that the Left Rear Speed sensor had failed (By then...its the 5th time i'd been back in 2 weeks coz the tecnitian insisted that they couldn't hear the steering noise...i had to go back again, took a technician out for a drive...and guess what, 2 seconds into it, he said Oh yeah...i hear it now...it PRETTY LOUD ) Anyway, the story goes...i'm gonna have to take it back in on monday for them to "see" what is wrong (THAT'S RIGHT...THEY ARE NOT EVEN SURE WHATS ACTUALLY WRONG...so chances are they are gonna strip it to bits, find the problem, put it all back together tell me that the part is on order...and i have to go back in again for the SEVENTH TIME!!!!! Its the worest i've seen of Toyota soo far Anyway, back to the post, anyone else had a bad experience with Toyota?

  8. Hey, Just wondering if anyone knows how i can adjust (level) the hight of the projected beam...
  9. Umm, my stearing is making a knocking noise when i'm turning at parking speed....had the service done last friday, but they reckon they couldn't hear anything (they are known for saying that) so i'm gonna take one of their technician for a ride on monay :D, i've also heard alot of different problems with toyota lately, eg delivering aurions in predelivery mode, rav making noises all different places, i've even heard a case of a Rav with water leaking in on the passenger side...what's going on?
  10. I got my parking sensors (4 sensors with a LCD Display) including installation $200. I wouldn't recommend you buying a $200+ Parking Sensor, just get anything around $60 - $150. Installation cost is around $150. eBay's parking sensors are great so shop around and have fun :) Ya, i'm gonna do that. Toyota is gonna ask for 557.50 for 4 head with no display....what kind of a rip off is that??
  11. $557.50 fitted....ARE THEY NUTS???? I can buy a kit online for 20 bucks and get some auto electrician to fit them for 50 bucks....
  12. THinking of installing some parking sensors for the Rav...can't see a thing through those tiny windows when i'm backing....kinda dangerous. Any suggestions on brands? and prices?
  13. Mate, aftermarket HIDs are illegal in Australia doesn't matter which state you are in. The design law states that any car fitted with HID lights must have a headlight washer, headlight leveler as well as projector lenses (For a sharp cutoff at the top of the beam). The cops aren't so hard at the moment, but i can see it changing in the future when people starts to complain about all the glares that causes blinding to oncoming traffics...
