  1. I owned two of these Celica's and all I have to say is its a BIG WASTE OF TIME. I dont think you would find pre-made polyeurathane mounts for this car.... best bet is to fill the mounts yourself. Why do you need it anyway? Its not like you running a highcomp n/a or a turbo car....

    Post some pics up too!!

  2. You only have to enclose the pod filter if its in your engine bay and because with a cai the pod is out of the engine bay then you dont have to have it enclosed

I disagree. Like I said in my previous post, people pull sh!t out of there ***** and say the box has to be enclosed. I have been in a situation myself where a friend of mine was driving his car which has an enclosed box with a pod filter in it. The Highway Patrol pulled him over and gave him a defect notice for the box. Some people also get away with it.

This is why I dont believe that it is legal. Like i said, if you have a stock looking car, no pig is going to ask you to lift the bonnet up.

    Thats my two cents anyway.

  3. Very nice project here!! My sister has a 1ZZ-FE motor and they lag so hard, although hers is dead stock.

Id like to see the improvements this thing makes... You should have done a dyno comparison before/after.

I have a few questions for you though...

    1. Are you going to be running an aftermarket ECU? If so, which one?

    2. How big was the standard throttle body?

    3. How big is your new throttle body going to be?

    4. I know your not jumping to conclusions or anything, but how much power & torque are you planning to push out of this inlet?

    5. Will you have supporting bolt on's for this car?

It's not an all out attempt at gaining massive power, more like a few blokes, a few tools and a shed.

    :toast: PP FTW!

And even that is too much ..... a few blokes & a kebab shop ........ is all thats needed ...... :toast: :toast: Kebab performance FTW !!!!!

    Comeback of the year! :toast:

  4. is it legal for P platers to have a sri /cai installed on there car?

I think if you have a different intake system (aftermarket), the pod has to be enclosed in a box but everyone pulls sh!t out of there **** these days when it comes to this topic.

So my theory is, its legal if you dont get caught. I doubt they would even want to defect you anyway if your car looks bog stock.
