Hi DJKOR & Dannywss, Thanks for the info, it will come handy when i get around to do the cabling. With regards to connecting the HU direct to the battery, I did it so: - more power & pure power, not going through relays here & there and reduce noise in the system (bad experince with my other old car Toyota T-18). - for historical reason: In my T-18, the factory setup had the cigarette lighter on the same fuse as the stereo, when my phone car charger blew the fuse, I lost sound. - Reminding myself to turn off the HU also meant I would remind myself to hide the detachable face for the HU so some wise guy would'nt come and nick the system. It might sound a bit silly but it gave me two reasons to remember and I never had a break in. Oh... on the topic of sound systems, DO you think the sub-woofer(s) sound better facing the front or back in the boot of the Aurion (sedan)? I know it sounds awesome in my T-18 hatch back facing the back, it pounds!!! Keep up with the great work Brabus. Cheers Guys! -

hi, i have not seen someone wiring the power cable that way..(others are just normal wiring) It seems to be more troublesome.. try from battery, keep going along the passenger side, locate at black rubber look thingy at the wall, that leads into the car, cut a little opening(later seal back again), stick the cable into there, you will somehow know where it will come out from(inside the car). (this is what normally people do, i think) Hi Dannywss, powering the head unit direct to battery is troublesome for some but I did it so I force myself to remember to turn off the head unit and hide the detachable face and to isolate it from the rest of the car's electronics. The Entry point and exit point are there to indicate diffcult wiring area where I had to put the wire into the chassis and come out somewhere inside the car (sorry if i confused you about the "exit point"), yes I normally have the cable along the passager side thats the easy part. I normally have audio and power cables are on opposite sides so I dont get interference, I hated the engine sound in the speaker, very ignoring. I know you know all that I have said above but I'm not sure which part you think is troublesome so I thought I explain my diagram a bit more. Thanks for the suggestion, I was hoping I wouldn't have to cut anything but looks like I have to now. Cheers, -

Hey Brabus, Nice work with your ATX Aurion! I have been thinking about doing something similar as well, just wondering if you can show some photos of your wiring for the Power cable from the battery to the back (boot) of your Aurion. In my old car (Toyota Paseo, yes big jump in power and size) I had a similar wiring to the one showed in my attachment. What I always found diffcult is from the engine bay or from the side fender (above the front wheel) where would I pass the power cable to so that it will come out inside the car somehow, I noticed the aurion has a thigh foam on the side when I open the driver's door. Some info aided by photos would be greatly appreciated, it will save me hours dicking around for how the heck I'm going to wire the power cable. Cheers, -
Very Nice, Black and Chrome goes well together.

Thanks for the compliments & advise guys. Yes, i'm happy with the wheels, i think it makes my car look more aggressive or tougher and it doesnt look like a 4 wheel drive like many RIMs do to cars if you dont lower it. I'm thinking of lowering it as well but probably later down the track into the warranty and lease period. I read somewhere that lowering will void the warranty and/or damage the VSC and thats not good for my lease, eventhough I plan to keep it after. About the wheel alignment I probably get it done at my next wheel rotation. Cheers,

Hi guys, I recently brought some RIMs for my ATX after about 2 months of researching, The attachment is what i thought would look nice and some bad MS paint photoshoping. Part of my research I found a cool virtual wheels section at Bob-Janes If anyone wants to see what their car will look like with different rims types & size Just go to Bob-jane's virtual wheels section (http://www.bobjane.com.au/Wheels/VirtualWheels.asp) Select your car make and model then choose their limited selections of wheels and size. Now they even let you see how your car will look after lowering or highering the suspension. Cool.... I finally found what I was looking for: Enkei LM01 18"x8 for my Aurion, The LM01 only came in 18"x8 Hyper Sliver & 20x8.5 Chrome. I didnt like the 20" it's too big and its chrome (too much bling for me) Here is what the 20" chrome looks like on the ss-commodore from the Advanti 2007-2008 wheels brochure: If you want to see the full catalog http://www.yhi.com.au/downloads.html Now for the before: and after: and some pictures: I actually brought these Wheels from Fawkner Wheels and Tyres in Melbourne (http://www.fwt.net.au/) for $1850 fitted & balanced with Regal 235/40ZR18 91W Premium Comfort & free lock nuts (since the car is new so wheel alignment is not required) It cost $330 per wheel and $132.5 per tyre compared to $390 per wheel at another place $2420 (i think) total with tyres. Regal's aint too bad, I've been driving in the wet & dry and the drive seems to be ok. But I havent had other tyres before so I personally cant compare. So what do you think guys?

Hi Dannywss, how much did the silver frame to go with the screen cost you? i'm looking at doing my own mod with a bigger touch screen and hook it up to a computer in the boot. But making my own mold for the screen is very diffcult and takes too long. hi, easy, you can buy the aftermarket face plate from stingers. The price isnt much. but it is made for 7inch monitor. If u want it bigger, either cut it bigger yrself OR ask my fibre-glassing friend to do it. Great job, and Great service. If u need me to buy the face plate and modification. Pm me, i try my best to help u out. I like seeing cars modified, so happy to help anyone interested. Hi Dannywss, Thanks in advance :) , I'll let you know when i get the system together. Hi Dannywss, I'm having problems finding that faceplate/facia online. Where is Stinger or the Stinger dealer you got the faceplate/facia from? Was it sold as a Aurion or Camry faceplate/facia?
