Update... removed the cabin filter and replaced it. did the Glen 20 and it seems to have come right for now the filter was a bit dirty

The smell reminds me of vinegar

Over the last few days when i have turned the air con on, it has a weird smell to it. Wouldn't say its a musty smell, Cant really describe it. how would i go about checking what the smell is? Could it be the cabin air filter in the glove box perhaps?

Think its just the idler pulley a known issue. mine does it, i dont worry about it. if the car drives ok who cares

Was wondering what the average cost is to replace spark plugs and the serpentine belt on my 09 Aurion? From what i understand to get to the back plugs the window wipers and cowel has to come off correct? And with the belt it's kinda hard to get to. Wonder if they use the remove tyre method. both would bump up the labor costs?

I was thinking of getting an aftermarket system however it was too expensive. i went to supercheap and bought a $60 bluetooth device and its awesome. Better than spending $800 and up for a unit and install

He couldn't find anything. he did note the engine oil was quiet dirty despite me buying the car only a few months ago. Toyota told me they did an oil change before I picked it up which my mechanic said there's no way they did. All they did was pour clean oil in over the old stuff to make it look cleaner, He said the filter was filthy. I hope it hasn't gunked up the engine. So maybe some gunk got into an injector randomly?

Just an update. I took it into a mechanic and had it scanned. There were absolutely no error codes whatsoever so I guess it's going to remain a mystery for a little bit longer until it does it again. I have booked in for a service tomorrow just a basic oil change but he's going to check other things out just in case

I started my car first thing in the morning my car was wobbling and the check engine light was flashing on the dash.. i turned off the car restarted it and it was fine and drove to work it didnt come back on. Something to worry about or just random?

I want to plug something into my 12 volt socket switch located in the small centre console compartment however the lid does not stay open it is spring loaded and keeps ringing back and it is incredibly small space to try and work to remove the pin. Anyone know an easy way to get into here to remove the lid?

I wasn't sure if my 09 Airion ATX has Bluetooth with the stock stereo system. I haven't seen Bluetooth for it up until today when the sunlight hit the screen and I could see it greyed out in the background very faintly. I don't know how to activate it, thats if it does have it. see pictures below

I was being tailgated by this moron and as we get to the lights he dips into the lane besides me. We were the first cars off the mark and it merges into 1 lane after the lights. I thought I would teach the knucklehead a lesson. Lights go green and I'm gone. Reckless driving aside i got my car up to 80 pretty quick but then my car was engulfed with a strong petrol smell. This doesnt usually happen when im driving on the highway or around town. Only seems to happen when i quick accelerate. What would be the reason for this?

Ive noticed using waze and google maps the speed is 5-10km slower than whats displayed on my car speedo. I downloaded a speedo app and same result. Is my car speedo out or is it the gps?

Ok let's be honest, what speed have you had your aurion up to? Coming from a v6 commodore this is my first toyota car so to compare the speed I was cruising a long the highway, No cameras great i planted my foot and got it up to 160. What an experience lol. Shes not as quick off the mark as my old commodore but when she gets going shes got a lot of power. Its very close to even. i think the main difference is the commodore was rear wheel drive and this ones front wheel

OK as I guessed it toyota said they could find nothing wrong. they also did a fuel consumption test, Drove it 54km and for 1.48L fuel returned a fuel usage under 31 per 100km its considered normal?

Just an update on this. After taking my car into toyota 5 times...YES 5 TIMES, About this complaint It is in the shop again today as the bounce is unacceptable to me. I have let other people drive my car and they say the exact same thing that the car is bouncy yet toyota cant seem to find anything wrong. I went and bought new rims and tyres from bob jane. didn't make a difference to the driving. I am awaiting another call to tell me once more they cant find anything wrong 🙄

My 09 Aurion has an old fashion cigarette lighter on the dash area plus also a separate 12V port in one of the small center consoles. Am I able to remove the cigarette knob permanently and use it as a spare port for say a dash cam or phone charger? Will anything catch fire? I am curious after watching this

Engine codes but no check engine light

I took mine in they cleared the codes they were just old codes. I had bad fuel consumption. Changed the fuel cap and it seems ok now -
I took it totoyota they cleared the codes. They didnt come back. It had a full service history. They checked it over they said its in great condition. They gave me a new fuel cap which may have been the reason for excess fuel consumption

Anyone know if the 09 aurion atx has a button to fold the side mirrors? Its not in the manual. They dont fold by hand but look like they may fold if there is a button somewhere?

I actually mentioned that I did google search in my OP. but thanks. I wanted to know if these are current codes or codes that once were but stored in the memory permanantly
