2nd hand CAI and filter - $300-$330 approx
rear sway (whiteline) $118 - from bursons
Front strut (whiteline) $118 - from bursons
some good engine oil $70-100 (royal purple or something)
New gearbox oil $30-50 ? (castrol syntrax etc)
2007-2008 toyota (Rav 4, corolla, landcruiser, hilux) headunit with MP3 input and bluetooth and looks 1 million times better than stock sportivo headunit, simple plug and play swap- $300 ( i wouldnt pay more than that)
thats around $1000 and gives you a range of benefits including the bluetooth hands free which is great IMO
thanks jaderd,
wow 2nd CAI is still that much??
ill start checking bursons (this is the first time i have heard of them)
as for the oil etc.. i get the standard toyota stuff on my service - ill ask my mechanic to use that next time and ill see if i can tell the difference
also my bad .. my sound system is good enough as it is, i have a completed alpine system already
besides im getting old already i hardly trun my volum up past 75% nowadays haha
any other ideas?
how much is it to tint my windows??
cheers

Hey all,
The wife has finally approved a budget of $1000 to spend on my 04 prefacelift sportivo.
My car is stock except for super low springs.
I need your help, whats your thoughts on the best combo of parts that can I get as this is probably the last time in my life that I can spend this kind of $$ on my car. (not including insurance)
Is this enough for a CAI and Strut bars???
Apologies for my lack of price knowledge.
cheers

I havent done much to it but im thinking of finally making "some" changes
hmm...what else should go in an intro
bullet points is always good so here goes
*i want to learn to double clutch in my tivo
*i work for an FMCG company in australia "hint: we do both drinks and confectionery"
*Surveys depresses me because im now in the 26-30 bracket hahaha
*my car is black
*i was prescribed cocaine when i was 12
*i tuck my shirt in my shorts
(guess which one is not true)
here are some pix of may car while i was installing my car sound system with my bro
i wonder if anyone will reply to this post this morning

gday,
just a quick background on my car. my first car was a hand me down auto mazda 323 85 model, it suddenly just dies one hot sydney afternoon. needed a car straight away that was cheap on insurance and petrol (NRMA full comp at $800 and premium unleaded full tank every two weeks at around$40) well the echo pretty much sold itself. i was going to buy a peugeot 206 but decided to save my money for the time being and settle for this new car.
i bought the 3door manual 2004 echo. (easy to drive learnt how to drive manual in just over a day). Has more power than my old car but ofcourse i got used to it even at 6000rpm with vvti kicking in. installed 3inch exhaust for low end power, 17inch 195/45 rims to stop the boat motion at corners. i will lower this car soon using king springs. check it out
the reason i joined this forum is to get ideas on where i should go next. i dont want to spend too much money as i only use this car as a go between before i buy my next car in 2yrs time.
cheers
