ok i took mine up a slight hill and timed it off my deck and i got in the 9 second mark then later that day i clean and oiled my pod filter and havent even floored it past 4000 yet =] and i got some weight in my car including 2 subs haha so i dno =] ill see what i can manage when i loose a bit more fuel ill let you know in better detail later =] and i seem to shift at about 5800 it gives the shift i bit more power i think =]] but thats just me driving =] good luck at the track though hey =]]

haha yer 5sfe is a pretty ****ty motor quite good fuel economy but my one does go pretty well? can beat commodores and im sure it will get to 100 in under 10 seconds ill test it out soon =]]] iv raced other celicas with 5sfe and kills em its even beat a t18 with a 4age =]]

well to stop lights dimming capacitor for my sounds system =] that sounds good =]] mmm now HID's price me? =]

just like to know your opinions on this i was gonna buy the 2jz engine and do work on it pistons, valves, springs, cams, turbos, sump and everything just wanted your opinions on the difficulty of getting it into a mk3 do different models have different mounts or cross members what modifying needs to be done? has anyone here done this conversion? anyone know where you can get rarely new motors? in perth or companys that can fly them over ? is there any upgrades you need to do to sit with the laws? where would you be able to get a mk3 chassis? btw im a mechanic so i know all the rebuilding the engine work and converting and all any warnings about doing this? just wanted opinions before i get into this =] thanks

haha i know this is old just wanted to 100% clear it up celica's handle heaps better then lancer drove a 03 sports lancer with brand new tires that i fitted (this was on a test drive at work) took it hammered it around roundabouts corners handles **** its to big it feels like its gonna tip just yuckkk

all depends on the state they were in if they were alright state they may use them but i highly doubt its the mounts

the mounts bolt to both the car and the engine so if you change then engine to a different engine you will be changing all the mounts and moving which might be modifying the crossmember

yer id say get your guards flared aswel at a panel beater =] thats like $200 i think not to bad

they're shorter cause think about it a normal car normal shocks shocks have like a chamber inside with a piston so if you lower the car you take away room for the piston to move so if you hit a pot hole BANG the piston hits the bottom lowered pistons are shortened with a longer chamber but king springs should have them or head over to pedders or something hey either one

if you have a spring compressor go ahead otherwise strip the shocks off go to a mechanic and say put these in make sure you get shocks for lowered vehicles i made that mistakes blew my pistons in them

im a mechanic and ill tell you im about 95% sure its shocks cause i had it and when i did my shocks done it was gone

yer iv tryed the new ones there the same just not enough power i guess oh well iv got the problem when my subs go off my lights dim abit haha so yer mayb when i fix that? smaller alternator pulley you rekon?

its 55/60 watts 12 V iv checked the power coming from the connectors aswell and when the engine is running its at 13.6 V is there anyway to make it brighter?

ok heres the thing i bought arctic blue H3globes for my fog lights yesterday and H4 globes for my headlights also arctic blue cause the ones in it now are pretty yellow and **** so i got the fog lights done there not that white but yer then i took the headlights out and they were already arctic blue WTF why are they yellow? they should be white?

may your pedal needs to be adjusted that happened to mine the pin on the pedal where you adjust came loose and just kept going lower so my clutch was activating as much so check that your brake pedal and clutch pedal are in line with eachother mine did the same it got really hard to change now its fine but sometimes if i try to change from first to second when i floored it and it gets to about 6000 revs it crunches into gear annoying if i try go haha but oh well

it had it when i bought it but you can get em from wreckers they always have em you can get bonnets for like $100 and the tires are 215/40R17 kumho ku25 iv past the pits and everything like this haha absolutely nothing wrong with that car except for the door trim loose and like sqeaking the knock was my pod filter kncoking on the chassis but now my front speakers arent working and the amp that powers em isnt getting power so gotta find out whats wrong and im planning on getting a supra soon aswell =]
