  1. Thank you all for the advices. Besides the solid brick I also used another scissor jack on the concrete floor( next to the jack on the brick) to provide additional support just in case.
  2. Thanks Hiro for your advice that boosted my confidence. I added a brick under the jack and jacked it up. The wheel lifted off the ground this time. Also, you are correct the part number is 3215. Thanks again.
  3. I used scissor jack between the 2 notches along the under car body side (close to the front wheel). I was not sure whether keeping jacking up will damage the car. I tried with the rear wheel and the rear wheel lifted up normally without jacking up to much.
  4. Hi. Just replaced 2 front shock absorbers with REPCO RAS 3115 and 3225 (Gas type absorbers) by auto mechanic. Jacking up the car as usual but the wheels did not lift off ground. Any problem or did I not jack up high enough ? Does the strut assembly lifts up the wheels ? Thanks.
  5. Extract from Toyota Corolla AE112 Remote Central Locking and Alarm manual. Manual Override 1. Unlock the driver door using the ignition key (horn will sound) 2. Using the ignition key quickly turn the ignition switch from the "ACC" to "ON" position 10 times. 3. Leave the ignition at "OFF" position after the tenth turn and wait for the horn to stop sounding. If not, repeat again. Hope that helps
  6. Why those resistors ? Did you measure those resistors before re-soldering ? My measurement is 12 ohm each and 36 ohm for 3 of them (in series). But I still run hot solder iron tip across those resistor connection points and it works. Thanks all.
  7. Fuses are checked and all good. Battery installed in 8/2022. Constant 12v and switched 12v to radio cassette tape player as designed. Removed the player, opened the cover but could not find the internal backup battery. The circuit holding time and radio channel setting may not be working properly.
  8. Hi, The clock and radio channel setting on the Radio Cassette tape player disappears and has to be reset every time the engine is turned off and the key is removed from the car. It happens even with a new car battery. Just wondering what is the problem ? Does the radio cassette tape player have an internal battery or capacitor to hold the setting ?
  9. Well done. But the clock {and radio channel} display is part of the radio cassette tape player.
