I think you'll find that you will have to replace the clutch pack in the trans. They do not handle water at all. Sorry for the bad news. Water takes out the friction material and thats the cause of your shudder

Hi all, I have 2 AE92's. 1990 and 1994. Looking foward to meeting and chatting. These cars are not mine. I do have two cars, one red and the other white. I am restoring the White car. This car is a 5 speed manual with a 4afe motor. The red car is a 5 speed manual with a 4age motor. The white car was involved in an accident. Damage is to the right hand front guard, bonnet and front bar. I have all the parts to do the repairs. Looking forward to seeing this car finished. Not sure as to what I will do with the red car.
