  1. If the warning light is still on normally this means that the repair was not addressed as supposed. You could try to get scan tool yourself and clear the code everytime it comes up but not the best way to go. Do you know what is the actual fault code?
  2. They are obd2 in our region. I have seen the Vident i400AU with Toyota software is capable of reading obd1 Toyotas but you might want to check with these guys from Auscanners. https://www.azscanners.com.au/vident-ilink400au-obd1-obd2-scan-tool-for-toyota
