There's gotta be something wrong with that car. Maybe scratches and that. I don;t think it drops that much in 6 months.
-
I haven't actually landed in lift from 1st to second coz I find that it is hard to change from 1 - 2 at high revs. It just won't get into to 2nd!!!!

I got my tints done at Solace for $300 for 20% tint.
How much does toyota charge for tints?
-
Yeah they outsource almost everything. The alarms are also outsourced.
The only thing they do for themselves is servicing and mechanical.
The paint is done by an outsourced panel beater.

I took mine to Peter Warren Toyota at Warwick Farm. It's only been a day and so far no probs. Have to wait and see if it comes back or not. They just said the gear selector cables were changed so i don;t really know what type they changed it to. I'll let u know if the prob comes back.

I was wanting to meet up with u guys for ages man...I have to miss out again. :(

Hey guys.....I just got the gear selector cable fixed and is free from rattles!!!
Yay!!
Just got it back yesterday and all seems good.
The down thing is that they stuffed up the paint job on my door. It was suppose to be resprayed because there is a patch on the door which is from a bad paint job from the factory. They said that they will respray the whole door! When it came back it was only sprayed over the patch. ***** me off!. The old patch is gone and now there is a different patch!! They said that they will have to do it again coz they actually send it off to a panel beater to do it. Now i'll have to take it in again. What a *****!
I'm concerned that when they respray it the look will be different to the factory paint job. There should be ripples in the paint. Can they get that affect if they respray the door? Does anyone know if this is possible?

What time are u guys meeting up?

How many k's has it got on it?
-
What does this do and how much did it cost?

It is leather....but it doesn't look like it when it's new. After a while u'll see the wrinkle in the seat. It's definitely leather, maybe crap quality leather.
-
I think we should leave it for my car. I'll shoot it if it causes me more probs!!! :)

Same here...I concentrated on driving it really hard and didn;t notice any other noise. i even turned on the air con and revved it. It didn't lose any power. The dealer also said that this car doesn;t lose power when u have A/C on. But now that I have my car and turn the A/C on, it feels like I lose a lot of power.
God Dammit Why???? :(
-
hahaha...I've gone from :( to :)
That's a very good point Exec6speed.
Now I'm convinced....it's not worth it. Thanks guys.

he cant help me and there is nufin more he can do for me and that if i had test driven 2 rollas that didnt make that noise i must of driven the only 2 ever made by toyota that didnt carry that noise now if thats not saying ur a lier to ur face i dont know what is so i simply ended the convo there and away the phone rang to toyota head office only to be told that the rattle is a "characteristic" of the car boy i wasnt happy so i accused them of stealing people's money of falsly selling dodgy products without full disclosure and asked if they were tellin sales people to advise customers of the issue and that i was going to go to a dealership and ask if they have any probs with the sportivo and if they say no i was gona pursue it further etc etc etc but man all i can say is customer service went south faster than the sportivo when its in lift once i signed the dotted line
What xoom is trying to say and which i agree is that if the dealer knows about the problem and don't want to help fix it and try to palm you off, then we would have to go to a higher authority. Sure if the problem is fixable and that they do acknowledge the problem then there would be no issues against the dealer. When they know about the problem but don;t wanna fix it and deny it, that's bull!

I was told there are certain things you can do for example lower up to 30mm or change exhaust but not up to the engine or the extractors. Cannot interfere with other parts etc. That's what I was told by my dealer.
-
Really? That's so cheap.
Those have got to be the best engines around. I still miss my SX.
-
hhhmmmm....sounds like a pretty bad experience. If my dealer gives me that **** I will definitely take it to a higher authority too.
-
An engine conversion will cost you at least $1500. I use to have a car with the 4AGE engine and costs about $900. Labour would be at least $500 - $600. If you are willing to spend that much then it'll be a rocket. Just bare in mind other probs that comes with an aging car.

I bought my car at Peter Warren in Warick Farm. So far it's pretty good service for me. Takes a long time to do anything though but they are pretty friendly and helpful.
-
Yeah...that's what i thought. Try to talk u into it but i didn;t know it actually makes a difference. There was an NRMA report about paint protection advising that it comes standard from the factory and to refuse it if the dealer offers it to u. I forgot when this article was.
I just think it is a big rip off.
-
They can suck me b@lls too!!!
Dodgy kients!
-
This makes me rethink...i should have got the protection. It is costly though...
WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH???
Can we get it elsewhere rather than Toyota??
How much did you pay?

I couldn;t wait that long!!!
I started ripping it at 1000km.
I also ripped it as soon as i got out of the dealership.
Don;t know if it did any damage though.
I would say at least 1000km until it runs in. That's my opinion. ;)
