There is a ticking noise under my car after I've driven for about 10 mins. Also when I accelerate it makes a sizzling noise.

Sounds like the pipe is loose and is tapping some metal piece. Does anyone have this prob???

I heard u can do that but i wouldn't dare. Scared to grind the gears and stuff up the gear box.

I have been using Optimax ever since and had no probs with it at all... I still thnk Optimax is the best fuel however u do get different batches from store to store. U just have to find the best service station and keep filling up at the same place. Different Shell stores use different fuel. Depends who they sign up with as their supplier.

The noise when reversing is not actually when ur in reverse. It happens when the car rolls backwards. My car makes the same noise going forward too. Only when u roll very slowly it squeels.

My Rolla came in about 3 weeks. Pretty happy about that. :D

What do u guys think about the Ryda springs from Pedders??? It's cheap!!! $400 for the set.

Just a question.....if the maximum 141 KW is at 7800 and cuts out at 8200....what's the point if there is only 400 RPM between the 2 ??

Once it reaches max then time to shift gears.

Do U have to change the shocks as well??

Coz I heard that the shocks will give way in around 6 months if u don;t change the shocks.

When I rev past 8200RPM the engine cuts out. Is that suppose to happen?

I thought it would go past that to at least 9K RPM. 8200 is where red line starts!!!

I didn't wait at all...as soon as I got out of the dealer i ripped it...lol

That's because the dealer told me to. Said it will run better later on coz during the 1000k service they tighten stuff and tune it again...so I don;t know what the go is.

Anyway....it's running OK.

But are we gonna go to Carmate and get stuff?...Coz I don;t really like the guy there. I know the guy....his mum looks after a shop in Cabramatta. they get dodgy stuff from Hong Kong and imports it here. Rip off too..

Is this good for the car coz i use to use that for my old corolla SX.

That is true..we do have new cars....but the thing is it shouldn't have so many probs with it being a brand new car.

As long as they will be fixed I will be happy. Not overall happy as yet.

As the performance goes....VERY HAPPY!!!

I'm thinking about getting the eye lids but don't know where I can get them.

I get the pretty much the same probs as well.

1. Mine goes 500 - 550 km on a full tank.

2. There is a knocking sound under the bonnet when it is idling (sometimes)

3. There is also a vibration/ticking noise under the car (sounds like metal to metal) when idling.

4. Vibration in the dash.

5. Squeels when braking

Does anyone have a prob with the LCD where the climate control panel is? When I turn the key to ACC, there are blotches of ink on the screen and then slowly fade away. Wondering if that is normal.

I also have 1 problem which no one would prob have. There is a patch on the drivers side door where it looks like it has been resprayed. You can only see it in the sun as the metallic stands out and can see a circle patch. I spoke to my dealer and they said they don;t know why and I will have to take it to the service department for them to take pics of it. Don;t know what will happen.

Steve...the reason why it takes long to warm up is because of the oil that u use. It's prob thick oil.

Try 10 - 40 oil.

I'm still waiting for Toyota to call me. I really wanna get rid of the rattles coz u can't hear the engine revving with the rattle...that's so annoying.
