    Reverse cam

Does that means the after market one is more sensitive than the standard? I guess if it's on the rear view mirror, that's not big either? But then again. I think M_M yours is KlugerI right? Mine is KlugerII.. wonder if the power of reverse light is any different.. Shouldn't be right? Don't rub it in Taka.. :P Yes, that's what I'm worried about... so the position and the angle of the replacement is critial too.. Not simple.. :(

    Reverse cam

The story goes…. It was pouring like nothing just before the Xmas w/end in Melbourne. I was trying to reverse downhill to my in-law's driveway. The reverse camera shows my bumper and nothing more , the rear window was too high to see downhill, my front side window was tinted, so I have to wind down the window to see what's behind from the side mirrors. However, even on a dry night out in somewhere that's pitch dark, I can barely see no more than 0.5 meters behind the car from the camera. The 3.5 inch camera is perfect in the city/ car parks etc; where there are lights everywhere but doesn't fair good for the country side. Is it better for the Grande? Anyone else thinks the standard reverse light is not sufficient and actually have it changed? My Bro told me to go to Autobarn or the like to buy a stronger set of light blub. But I'm worried that it may be too bright for the camera? It's not that expensive so I guess I can just try it out, but just want to know what other owners think?
  3. the resale value from glass guide and Redbook for Toyota may be influenced by AU build cars? Since Kluger is imported. It should have a more comparable value to CX-9? Not sure.. Fleet buyer doesn't mean cheaper resale automatically right? I haven't done any research but I thought it's the KM and condition that matters the most? Of course if there are a lot more Kluger in the market then resale might be cheaper.. But that must be numbers like Camry or commodore to make the difference.. If that's the case the maintenance should also be cheaper for the long run? Anyway, IMHO, in the end it's the condition of the vehicle that matters the most for the resale value.. B)
  4. haha ... Make sure you have your wrist straps on taka.. and you better not play bowling while car is moving either..
  5. If someone want an adult only people mover with no intention to go off road, they should go for Tarago .. you can have all the space you wanted. On the other hand, Kluger has removable middle seat which makes access to third row a lot easier for child seats on both side of 2nd row. Another problem with CX-9 is the smaller 2nd row side windows, which is known to be too high for young kids to see anything, that leads to grumpy kids and that's real bad news.. I thought Toyota actually has a better resale value in general. That's why it's the most popular brand. It's more reliable in long run and thus better resale. Don't forget your KXR has fixed price service for 3 years too..
  6. Yes, I know what u meant.. I thought of that too when I 'discover' that vanity light. But It's like a few other gadget's or feature with this car. It's a nice feature but didn't implement in the nicest way. E.g. 1) All door pockets with fixed drink bottle place holder.. It's nice but it will be better if u can take the place holder out. That goes with the twin cup holder that we can be partially remove the cover and convert to storage but still has a fixed place holder in the middle. 2) the high opening boot with straps but cannot adjust the height or angle of opening 3) 3rd row entry is only from left side of 2nd row which requires seat is fully lay down, a bit hard when you want to strap a baby seat there. 4) the auto door unlock should only happen when car stopped and should be the same for passenger side.. That's it for the moment.. Will think of more.. Hehe.. But of course I still love the car..
  7. Yes, strange.. But is there a better solution? autooff may be annoying if the missus is still trying to do the final touch b4 heading down to the party.. a timer will be a bit of overkill? :) For me as a guy that light is a bit of overkill itself anyway.. . :P
  8. thanks for sharing Taka... some nice pics too.. The white giant stands out nicely hehe... We will be heading down to P.Island around xmas too.. Hopefully there will be some nice day ahead.. Of course we need some rain too.. but they can go to the catchment way.. hehe..
  9. Thanks Takahashi... Drooling on the CX-9 one.. lol.. :P anyway... so if I want to go genuine, do I have to order direct from the state? or can I ask the local dealer to order it? that Body Side Molding <_< looks good too.. hehe...
  10. On the topic of minor mods/add-ons .. Any other Kluger owners notice the crappy exhaust tip that's underneath the rear boot. It's a shame compare to CX-9 and the like.. I'm not a fan of car modding but any suggestion for the right accessory to buy? is it just one of this? Many thanks. http://www.burgdesign.com.au/catalogue/pro...26aaf7b74f4ef...

    New Kluger

It's only a 2WD, didn't think the extra Cost+Rego+Insur justified the price with minimal usage on 4WD. On the other hand, I notice there is a light knocking sound when I was making a full turn on the wheel. It was louder at first and getting weaker, but I can feel the uneven on the steering. Anyone else had the same experience?

Had a good drive on eastern fwy, except the sudden brake due to traffic .. Hopefully didn't do too much damages. Anyway nice car and praised by everyone in the office .. Will post some pics later.. :P
