  1. Thanks lateralus. It seems that they are pretty busy today, I have been put on hold for a few times and I've left a message finally but no one calls back. I would try again tomorrow morning. I've made an appointment for quotation with Woods when I was on my way home, do you know if they could do a good job as well? Thanks heaps.
  2. Hi, my rolla was damaged by another party weeks ago :( and their insurance company has finally agreed to settle if I could provide two quotes from different beaters. Could anyone please suggest any panel beater(s) that would never cut corners in repairing my poor rolla and could resume it back to the pre-accident condition? I know there is a recommended VW repairer when I owned my previous Golf but not sure if there is any for Toyota... Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I ordered my Ascent, in graphite, with cruise & safety pack at June 07 and she was finally delievered at late August 07 (approx 8weeks). I could get a silver in less than one week or a black one in 3 weeks but I just love the graphite. It takes that long because the rollas are so popular here and graphite is definitely the best color on the new rollas.
  4. Mine is an Ascent 07 and the dash board cover (on the passenger side where the airbag located at) keep making those rattling noise since it was delivered brand new. Reported and claimed to be fixed but not indeed. I notice slightly improvement after I have driven her for 6 months now but I could still hear that occasionally when the rpm fluctuates between 800-1000rpm at the traffic light. I was told that it may be the joint/edge of the new plastic parts that need to be "run-in". If the problem still exists, they told me to address it in the next service.
  5. 6 months or 10,000km from the date it was delivered, whichever occurs first.
  6. Thanks guys! AUR15, unfortunately I am at Melbourne. I just rang them and placed a booking. It took me almost 15 minutes to complete the conversation! Their system could not retrieve my details (even though my car was bought there, I am very disappointed) and the operator has to place the booking all over again when I need to change the date she suggested. She kept asking her superior why the system did not respond or allow her to enter anything (it is better to use the HOLD function instead of using your bare hand to cover the mic) ... I told her I have placed the booking on the website and she has no idea of wth I was talking about! The earliest possible time would be two weeks later, what a busy dealer! My car would be at least 12k at that time, would that void my new car warranty?
  7. My rolla would need to have her 10,000KM service very soon and I have booked the service via the dealer's website. I have placed the booking a few days ago and I have not received any reply from the dealer yet. Is this normal that the dealer won't confirm the booking at all and I simply need to show up at the reserved time? or its better for me to ring them to confirm? I found that some toyota dealers are now offering a 10% service discount by providing a printable vouncher on their website. Does that mean $120-$12=$108 for each service? My dealer does not have this special offer but I need to have my rolla serviced there because my dealer has extended my new vehicle warranty to 6 years. Failure to do so will void the warranty extension... Almost every toyota dealers claim that they have express service where they could possibly get the car serviced and washed in approximately 1 hour. Has any bro try that before and whether it is doable or not. Would your dealer arrange a free loan car when you have your baby serviced over there? Cheers.
  8. My baby got doored at a public carpark today . The owner of that car apologized to me on the scene and wanted to sort that out through insurance. The paint of my new rolla came off and replaced by his paint. Sigh...It is time consuming to bring the car to the repairer, moreover, I won't be able to drive her for a few days. Time is money, mate ... Guys, is it necessary to report this to the insurance company within 24 hours after the incident happened? or it is alright to report anytime before I take her to a repairer for a quote? and the most important question, would that affect my Rating at all? Thanks heaps.
  9. Guys, Watch out for a moron on a Black/Maroon 2000 Kawasa (EL!##) if you live in Melbourne. I was driving on the left lane at a 60zone this morning. There were a few cars parked 500m in front of me so I need to change to the right lane. I noticed two motorists on my rear right and catching up pretty fast (possibly speeding), as a nice driver, I slowed down with my indicators flashing and allowed them to past before I change lane. The first one has pasted but the second one - EL!## paralleled right next to me and tried to block my way out intentionally. The moron starred at me and seems he's having fun. I reduced the speed to less than 30 and he slowed down as well, when I accelerated he speeded up immediately. Finally, he speeded up when the cars behind horned him and I changed lane just 1 meter behind the parked vehicles. This w@nker would learn a lesson when he got himself killed in an accident, but please don't get another innocent involved. Would ya be able to report these incidents to the police?
  10. I have quoted at another repairer on my way to work this morning and guess what, the 2nd quotation is .......... *drum roll*.......... $1700 (non-insurance). He explained that he has to remove all the plastic items and re-paint the whole r-h side, otherwise I would have different colours on my rolla. <_< Man, I could purchase a 1987 corolla with $1700... lol..
  11. Thanks guys. I feel a lot better now. I have given her a wash today and got a quotation from a body repair specialist. It cost me approximately $600 and 4 days(at least) to fix the scratches. I asked the specialist whether I could apply ScratchX on it, however, he said that the scratches are too deep this time and nothing could help. :( The 2 clear tapes on the bottom left hand corner of the rear passenger door need to be removed when he paints the door and luckily it only cost 30 bucks to buy a new set. I would try to get a quote from other repairers tomorrow and hopefully I could get a better deal. PS. When I touch her scars today, she yelled at me "you bloody idiot! you should never leave me on the street!". I found myself guilty, lol. :P Good night guys.
  12. I have reported to the police and I have been told that there is really nothing much they could do about it. :/ My friend said it would cost me over 1g to fix this up and he told me to try something called "NuFinish Scratch Doctor" first. Has anyone tried that before?
  13. G'day guys. I would never park on the street again and I would recommend everyone to keep your baby off the street. My three and a half month old baby rolla (6000km only) has been badly scratched outside my friend's house at Doncaster East, VIC last night. The road is so wide and I wasn't blocking anyone at all. I have spent three hours at my friend's home for dinner and left there with three ugly KEY SCRATCHES on my poor rolla. I decided not to park on my friend's driveway in order to reduce the risk of bumper scuff, however, I shouldn't have taken the risk to park on the street either. The scratches are 11cm, 70cm and 22cm long... Should I report to the police ? How much would that cost to repair it ? Thanks guys. My poor rolla 22cm - Rear 70cm - Passenger Door 11cm - Driver door Howcome so many people out there don't know how to respect the other's property. My poor rolla was DOORED at QV's carpark when it was less than one month old (under 1000km). I have parked very close to the wall already and there was more than a metre between my car and the other when I left. But it was still doored and scratched when I picked her up. Luckily my dealer helped me to buff it away when I had my first complimentary service. But I don't think the dealer would help me to fix this up this time.... *sigh* I was planning to give her a shower today, this incident has ruined everything.... *sigh*
