  1. Hey guys, Im not really new on this forum but been rather busy with work and fogot about going on here, but now im back and with adifferent ride, i use to own a 99 corolla, now i have a 6th gen celica i think its the one with 4 round lights at the front :)
  2. I just bought 6000k HID for my 96 celica, and it looks great, alot clearer and brighter then standard halogen, and you really notice the different once you get behind the wheel, so i definately reccomend getting HID. 6000k will be brighter in my opinion, you can go for 8000k if you want it to look cooler.
  3. Niceeeee 113db, i am aiming at something really loud, i guess it will be stupid but itll just be for fun :P So you'll be deaf while your being yellow stickered in your now slower Sportivo. that sounds fairly accurate... have fun with that :s i have a muffler and i find it loud enough, well actually to loud, so i plan on changing it soon, i got that muffler when i got my car , i thought it was cool. but no, i will get a sportivo muffler, been looking around for about 2 months for a good one :D
  4. Yeh ive seen all the videos, just not the same as in real life though, the sound quality wouldn't be the same as real life I don't mind.. it will cost me about 100 - 150 so if it doesn't work out ill just take it off personally i would have to say, go for a cannon over a straight through, as mentioned before if u were going on the track on if you have a turbo'd car then maybe. lets me me tell u unless u love the noise dont go for it, since my mate has a turbo'd straight through i been in it, and im telling u i cant stand it, even he cant stand it, and he knows its a defect, well he does take it to the track so it does make sense for his purpose. but like i said unless u love making noise and there will be a high chance you will get defected.
  5. hey, hm .. if you still have these problem, i would check the coils, since that has happened to my car before, but it was only happened to one wheel tho, not the whole side of the car, so when i checked the coil it was slightly damaged, so i just replaced the coils and it was fine.
  6. hey welcome!.... i once thought about buying a camry, but at the time it was over my budget, so i got a corolla, had it for over 3 years now. and still running smooth, yes toyota's are indded durable cars :D
  7. Hey how you going, i drive a ae112, and im also on the goldcoast, your ride looks nice and clean, welcome to the forum. see you around
  8. hey welcome to the club.... im from hk too, but also not in hk haha
  9. Thanks mate. Much appreciated. Drew. Edit: I'll just ask something else here instead of starting another thread... Will the ZZE122 Remote/Key work with the AE112r alarm/immobiliser? I need to buy a spare key and remote, so I was thinking of killing two birds with one stone. hi, same with my 112r it doesnt flash when locking with remote, i would like it to flash tho, i was thinking of taking it to an auto electrician.
  10. wow~~ Good job~ looks nice, u make me want that now ... haha
  11. Most 4AGE engines were released in a FWD format, either in the AE82 Twincam, AE92 SX/Levin, AE101 and AE111 Levin/Trueno, and in the AW11 MR2. The only RWD format 4AGE that was released in any substantial numbers (and not in Australia, by the way) was the AE86. oh wow nice , well there we go i learnt something new :D well that is something taht can be done then
  12. nice, i also have a AE112 but "99" still saving up for my stereo, and looking for a good body kit, but havnt found a nice one yet. well you can update the front end like BNS70Y has... but won't be cheap LOL not many kits really suit the AE112. genuine is best! yeh probly best to stay stock kit wise. best bet is to go sleeper lol.... but that also wont be easy
  13. i would think the best thing to do is to change the whole engine, 4AGE :D i heard from ppl that said it wont be good tho. since the AE112 is a FF. 4AGE engine came from a FR...
  14. welcome:) im queit new here aswell hehe those rims sure do look nice :) and even nicer when photo shoped :D
  15. nice, i also have a AE112 but "99" still saving up for my stereo, and looking for a good body kit, but havnt found a nice one yet.
  16. i have the diamond vision, they look nice and give off good light, i like them :)
  17. hm .... im using the phillips diamond vision, they seem to be fine, i dont lose road vision for using them definately better the the stocks i had in it.
  18. hi, :) welcome im quiet new on this forum myself, i also own an AE 112, only mods i have done on it is exhuast, and air filter. next thing to get is rims. donot need to do many mods, just get a kit and rims. :)
  19. for a 99 corolla defantely H4 i have change them before....
  20. but wht will happen if the sensor wasnt in the pipe? This = good luck getting your car to run plain and simple .... the MAF sensor is how ur car works out how much petrol it needs to feed the engine based on how much air is being sucked in by the engine So the long and short of it is either the kit is made with a mounting point for the MAF to sit in or u will need to make one. hmm ic .. well mine is a 99 corolla not even sure if they make a adaptor for that. bcoz when i was looking there wasnt an adaptor for it <_< so my guess is its gona be alot of work to fit a pod for a 99 corolla
  21. i actually want to know that myself too , but wht will happen if the sensor wasnt in the pipe?
