  1. I have read through many posts regardings this but what is a rough price i should expect to get these for. I wanted coilovers but cant seem 2 get them at a descent price. So am opting for spring/shock combo

    KINGS LOW

    YELLOW KONIS

    For a sportivo

In sydney, any particular shop you guys recommend

    thnx jason

also to confirm are KONIS rebuildable?

  2. hey guys

i got the x force twin loop muffler with the 2.5 inch inlet. i changed the whole piping on the sportivo to 2.5 inch from the resonator back including a 2.5 inch cat. the note on the car is nice but you might have a little trouble trying to put the muffler on. you might have to put it on an angle, but with a bit of work it should be alright to let it sit straight out. it's a lot quiter compared to the cannon. it doesn't come with the loud drowning noise on the free way. i know! casue i had a cannon. ****** me off after 6 months. but yeah! auto access is the place to get it and the old lady in the shop knows her stuff! on installation just take it to your local exaust specialist they should be able to put it on no more then $50 if it is more then that go to another place.

Any noticable performance gain from just the twin loop muffler

  3. thnx for the advice guyz, i have changed speakers in my old car which is pretty straight forward its just i hav never attempted the HU. well if worst comes to worst ill just get some1 to do it ahahah :P .

Also would anyone know if it is possible to just run a sub and amp off the stock setup, overall i rate it pretty above average, just lackiing in the bass department.

  4. Im soon to getting a new HU for the stivo but just wanted to ask people who have installed HU themselves how hard is it. As in the wiring up of the HU, try to save where i can. I want to DIY, as i dont like the thought of dodgy jobs, wheras doin it your self you know its done properly.

    thnx in advance

    jason

  5. maybe a little of topic but i just did my first succesful 1-2 change with a chirp and boy does it fell good. i luv the sound :P . But i didnt experience any axle tramp like what you guys are talkn about. im assumming you are talkning about launching from standstill

  6. Having both cars in the family i must say that the mazda SP23 is a way more comfortable car to drive in, plus it is more easy to drive around town and city as u dont need to rev the crap out of it to get descent power. Plus the mazda is way more safer as it has 6 airbags, i noe this cuz my bro SP23 just got written off. His 6 air bags were the only thing that saved his life.

but each to their own, the SP23 is more livable car, however if u enjoy driving go the sportivo. Just wait till u past 6200rpm, it will bring a smile to ur face. Plus to add my bro liked driving the sportivo better than the SP23, he said it was more fun car.

watever car you choose, you wont be dissapointed

  7. i have owned the 05 tivo for a while now the gear change you mentioned from 2nd to 3rd is normal. You just have to get use to the H pattern layout for toyotas. A few days with your tivo you should get accustomed to it. I will admit that our gearboxes are notchy, compared to other cars. I was in my mates clio sport, and that shifter was so smooth. im so jealous..:angry::angry:

For a stock stereo system, the stereo is very respectable i have left it as it is.

Get a couple of quotes around the place, but it really depends on where you live. Just be happy its not a turbo, so wouldnt be complaining....

  8. Today i attended the ozhonda cruise to wakefield for a trackday, and i must say that boy was i impressed with the hondas. Honda truly builds cars for performance, and they take the punishment without a hitch. The majority of the cars were civic vtir and intergra vtir and Type R plus an S2000. It was a sight to behold just listening to the hondas VTEC scream down the straight, especially the S2000.

I must say i was very suprised at the civic vtir, it held its own against many cars the B16A is a strong engine, plus with a few descent mods it really roars.. But the most suprising was the mini cooper S it completely destroyed the other cars in the turns. On the straight, my jaw dropped when i saw how fast the merc V8 komperessor i fink AMG, came down the straight. There were many cars some clio sports, swifts, S15........plus a XR6 with NOS

All in all it was a nice day, but i still love my tivo :P :P :P

  9. Not getting the key is an issue but im sure they will get them to u.

As for the manual in the pre-face lift sportivo the manual was the same as the normal corolla manual except where something was different for the sportivo it would put the 1ZZ specs and after it the 2ZZ specs.....

Anyone with a facelift stivo can u confirm this is also the case with the new one.

    cheers

    Bill

Yep you get the same manual as normal corolla, exactly what said above

  10. you guys misundertsand what im saying i was goin 60 in 5th den change down into 2nd still neutral rev it to let motor catch up, then release the clutch so there isnt that harsh feeling ***** u get.

mt 1st time but i think ill stick to doing less harsh changes now 5th to 3rd sounds nicer, but it feels nice having wheel spin and in lift straight away. I think im getting used to lift, it doesnt have the same effect as when i 1st used it. My 1st time i was lyk ahhhh :o :o :o unprepared but the biggest grin :lol::lol: .

i think i need a CAI in the future, i luv the induction noise......
