  1. yep the red rock is boring now lol etc for the burrup good fourby area

5 boxes and the last one i ended up rebuilding it myself and is still alright but then again dont do any hardcore fourby like i used to it was always buried in the mud gettin flogged and flat out down the beach tryin to see how fast i could get her and the odd little comp here and there so to be expected hehe

  2. WA boy huh? they have bitumen roads in darwin? :P

would a tranny cooler void warranty? would be a bit useless up there? its so bloody ot up dere (i used to live in hedland)

was a wa boy in the south west. yeah bitumen roads in darwin haha id go along with the roads bein better than some of the wa ones

i wouldnt think it would unless it was fitted dodgy or improperly, any bit of help u can get for ya tranny would help from experiance with my lux i did 5 t700h autos in a year before i got that cooling stuff sorted, ended up runnin a seperate thermo for the tranny cooler.

i lived in karratha for a year b4 darwin and i reckon darwins cooler than the pilbara prob cause of all the iron ore rock lol

  3. yeah it tows really good apart from my lead foot problem lol but that trailer only takes one of my quads and some gearbags etc no tranny cooler and towed it from downsouth in wa to darwin without a prob and to the races in the nt if i drive it sedately it can get 12l/100km with trailer etc and if i drive it hard with same combo it goes as far as 18l/100km will get a tranny cooler when i build my bigger atv trailer

the lux doesnt exactly save fuel either that one in the foto has a v6 como engine and box in it and combined with the 33'' tyres and engine power robbing lights i can only get bout 200km's outa 75l of juice

ive also got a dualcab lux (avatar pic) that runs a 1uz-fe v8 and 5 speed manual tranny and 10'' lift thats the girl i love its a weapon

  4. another thing to consider is that they will not cover a covered component if its failure is due to an uncovered components (ie. a mod) failure

in most cases when modding your car, you can get it inspected by a warranty administator who will authorise the mod so that everything would still be under warranty.

hence why i kept he standard springs etc hehe a bit of muken around but hey toyoa can afford it better than me lol

hey esexsix looks like u got the blue on your aurion the same as mine i reckon it looks sweet as i got 18'' chrome wheels and lowered mine its turns heads all the time

  5. yeah most of them do if like the tyres got like 50% or more tread on them but check anyway man every cent is better in your pocket

hey at the end of the day 33's or bigger is the way i think if it has 33'' writen on it and is a muddie ill have a look lol

  6. sounds like the rose joints on the end of the shifter shafts are flogged out my bro's did the same u can fiix it properly by goin to ya local bearing joint and gettin new ones or u can do what i did and thats get the bolt 90 degrees to the other section and then put a small tack weld on them to hold them solid then i just readjusted the linkages to operate rite bit of mucken around but worth it

  7. yeah that sounds about right for about somethin like bfg muddies or cooper muds or goodyear wranger muds

i personally got the cooper muds onto my 3rd set now i reckon they are the ducks nuts but they all pretty good these days depends what **** factor or brand ya into

the 31 wont be any good unless u use it for a front tyre and not with the hubs locked in if u put the 31 on with a 33 on the otherside u will damage your diffs and maybe even ya box plus it'll look gay and lets face its about looks rite lol

just find someone with a second hand 33 one form someone or even from the tyre shop then when ya get ya next set u'll have heaps of spares to choose from i now have 3 spares not sure why but i do lol

  8. mines an 07 sx6 model and i have nothiing at all

2 sub stereo nothing i wouldnt expect

    lowered, no problems

    18" wheels, no problems

travel on nt gravel roads everyday nearly and, no problems

tow a atv trailer on these same roads all around nt for racing, no problems

i just ot the problem of my missus gettin my bumper caught on a kerb and breaking acouple of clips so no that wiggles of but my plastic welder will fix that

  9. if it wasn't then i would suggest there is an alignment problem with the clutch.

another posibility is that the bell housing may be mis-aligned too. the rear of the engine has (should) 2 alignment pins. sometimes the housing can get stuck and not get pulled up tight against the engine. this would cause "binding" and can result in the problems you are having.

i would think if the gearbox and engine surfaces have mated up that the bolts would keep that side of things straight but yes does depend if the clutch was installed centred on the flywheel and u didnt have to force the gearbox/engine back together

the other big factor like 99% of the problem is either the slave cylinder (if hydraulic clutch) or cable adjustment (if not hydraulic clutch)

to fix it with a hydraulic clutch u first need to bleed the line cause it may have got some air into in the process of the clutch change other than try adjusting the rod that comes outa the slave cylinder this has the effect were the clutch operates in relation to were your foot is on the pedal then fail all that good chance that either the slave or master cylinder is bypassing requiring replacement ( im doing a lancer now and the slave cylinders on the backside of the clutch mounted to the bellhousing very ugly gearbox out job but if yours is like a lux it'll be like a 5 min job)

if its a cable operated clutch, How much pedal freeplay is there? There should only be about 25mm to 35mm freeplay from memory on a hiace if this is excessive the adjustment is usally down at the gearbox end but bring the freeplay back into specs and u should be on a winner

the only other thing i can think of is when u pulled the linkages of the box to get the box out were they put back on were they came of if not the gear lever has ran outa range and is hitting the stoppers

  10. Thanks for this I hope I can work it out. Bit of a novice when it comes to wiring. I will be able to follow the diagram. I am wiring spotlights into the reverse lights and wondering can you just wire the lights to the reverse lights and just earth the other wire without blowing anything?

ummm it depends how much the lights will draw for the strandard relay/fuse etc but generally u should be right to just tap into them but if u wanna put a relay in it u just wire it in the same fashion as the spotty diagram i put in but instead of goin to the headlight wire plug it onto the reverse light trigger wire on the gearbox from deep in my noggin im pretty sure its a 2 pin plug and is a green/red wire but may be different on a later model only dealt with earlier model luxes

  11. if u drive like a nanna so to speek im sure u would get aout 9 to 10l per 100k's

me i dont drive like a nanna lol plus mine had 33's lift (more strain on the driveshafts) heavy duty steel tray and a big alternator to run 6 lightforce 240 blitz lights so fuel was well useless tryin to cauculate that lol just took jerrys on trips lol

  12. the dual cab against the triton fot has exactly the same lift as the singlecab well it actually came out of it lol and will be bigger when the snakeracing kit goes in but i must admit it did feel bigger than the singlecab and looked ten times better especially when the stereo was cranken tunes

  13. Id probs just resort to pluggin ***** into random places and seeing if it works HAHA!

hey dont laugh that works sometimes providing u got a couple of spare fuses as well lol done it with an ignition swiitch once in the bush

  14. sorry thread hijack oops lol umm it cost me 1800 with full loom and ecu and also came with the standard auto which i aint usin its a peice of ***** to fit especially with 2'' or more bodylift which helps with radiator room u only gotta make a new gearbox crossmember and engine mounts which are easy if u get the engine square etc and just take it easy and think bout it but other than that it fits better than a V6 i reckon

  15. My advice, if its not a Diesel hilux... Dont turbocharge it. But V8Toy might know where to get a turbocharger for the petrol.

    Good luck with it!!!

i wish lol i woulda bombed the older 22r lol

i havent had heaps to do with the newer models simply cause i wasnt a fan of the ifs front end i just know they used to leave my little engine behind lol

but yeah im sure u'll be able to find something just how much do ya wanna spend personally id go to a performance shop and get somethin fabricated onto it

better yet i could hook u up with a toyota v8 to slot in they the ducks nuts :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
