Hi Guys, Just got a few plans for the car. Got an AT-X and im going to make it so that I have a black and blue colour coord. Im getting a standard aurion sportivo rims and was thinking of maybe painting that black. I've talked to a couple of people and think it will look gud and they way I'm going to have it, is that the eyelids matt black and the silver bit on the bottom (where the fog light area is on the at-x) matt black, as well as the grill. So I was thinking it may look gud if I colour co-ord it properly. What do you guys think?

depends on your postcode between $20 to $50 cash on delivery insured. - unless you i send to 1 person in WA and you pick up personally from there.It would be heaps cheaper I'm not sure how close all you guys are to each other and if you guys want to do it that way. AUR30N I think that's a good idea... I think the one closest to the City should be the centre point of contact. I live in Karawara which is 10min drive to the City so I don't mind. What do the others think? What about to Fremantle? :P even close to city :P I don't mind picking up from there.. haha :P but the car is 2nd hand and got it around 56km when I got it.... As DJ and yourself has said maybe it is just normal and nothing to really worry about.. so long as I'm not the only one :D

Hi peeps, Just wondering if anyone has got a funny smell after a driving their aurion? (normal drive that is) I'm getting a weird rubber burn / like smell from the engine bay each time I drive my car normally? Could it be from the enginge cover. I don't think it would be othewise someone may have posted this problem up. Let me know. Regards, o12lando

with finance i think the spec level of the car is immaterial. you should be asking yourself is it worth the minus equity? because i can tell you now, you most likely wont get 27-28k as a trade in. say hello to the 20-23k region when you trade your car in, that credit will be taken off your current loan contract. you will then be charged a debt discharge fee, which is calculated as a percentage of your loan repayment, multiplied by the remaining terms on your loan for every $1000 to discharge, which may work out to be around the $1000 mark. then on the new loan contract you will still be paying the shortfall from the previous loan, plus the purchase price of the new vehicle, plus admin and establishment fees, plus dealer delivery, and statutory charges and all the other on road costs. and to top it all off, you will have a higher interest rate because of a decreased credit rating which means you will be paying interest on top of the interest and shortfall from the previous loan as well as the vehicle purchase price. so to sum it all up, for a $33000 you will be paying approximately the same rate as you would for a $43000 with a higher interest rate. i wouldnt recommend it, but at the end of the day it is your money. ideally, wait till you pay off your interest and eliminate any potential shortfall which would be around the 1.5 year mark after loan inception, and then you wont be in a worse off position if you were to stumble across another sexy car. you might be a similar position you are in now with your current contract, with similar repayments, with a better car and less debt. yeh you'd be paying alot more... apart from other features its only an extra 40kw

Hey, My aurion is a second hand and im quite pleased with it. One thing I should have looked out for was the minor rock chips/scratches on the bonnet and on the sides. Basically just have a real good check up on the car, interior and exterior and see if there's something you dont like about it. I'm planning of getting mine touched up by the "Touch up guys" oneday but apart from the that car runs quite smoothly ! :D

Of course you can drive up to those speeds in those gears defined, but the reason why you don't is: a) to improve fuel economy, and b) to reduce engine wear. It is far from perfect as you may think. The best way to put this is to think of it like a simple mountain bike with 7 gears. If you pedal at a steady pace in say the 7th gear, you can easily match that speed in the 6th gear, but notice something... it takes more effort. As well, your argument with a 4 speed auto is not a decent comparison because gear ratios vary between different gearboxes and the 4th gear in a a 4 speed auto would be an overdrive gear similar to the 5th gear on our Aurion. The only reason the Aurion has an additional overdrive gear (6th) is to further improve economy. In all seriousness though, it's your car and you treat it how you want to. well said I guess that's why we have forums here... :D

you put it into S and leave it in 4th?????????? Champ you are supose to change gears in S it goes down to 1st and upto 6th. Ill stop now...... :P Well yeh believe it or not :P... My theory is that if I leave it at 4 gear, then the car would be utilizing only 4 gears instead of 6 because to me it seems like the transmission seems smoother and more responsive. So when your heading down the freeway in a 110kmh zone and your sitting on 115-120kmh you sit in 4th :S Aurion Owner's Manual book Page 125 :P Ranges Gear | km/h 4 198 3 139 2 104 1 60 These would be hitting around the 6k rpm mark BUT 1150-120kmh on fourth gear would be perfect in my opinion. ;) Surely you don't say 4 speed auto cars doing 115-120km/h will have their rev meter high :P And I can always just put it to 5 or 6, its not like I drive on a freeway every where I go, but I'm just making my point :)

Hi Guys, A friend of mine has a sportivo and he said he drives with 'S' all the time. Today started driving with the 'S' and it seems alot smoother and lighter. Maybe because that it's set to 4 gears only and not using 6 gears. And so now I drive with S mode all the time :D What are your thoughts? Any advantages and disadvantages etc...
