  1. they're hard to find, i found some lying around in an old hid kit i had interstate

before i found them i used coke bottle caps, but they started to melt onto the bulb, you can bend the hooks so that it holds the bulb in place, but your best bet is to find some spacers

  2. Does anyone know if my friend's Celica needs a spacer? If someone knows, please let me know. I rather find out now if I need one than when I try to install it. Thanks.

    Peter.

    If its this shape

Yes, as the bulb sits further in than normal, but if you're buying a kit that says its for the celica, it should fit, normal h7 globes won't fit without the piece of plastic i linked before.

Same goes for all the zze corollas

  3. Car was insured for 18k got the full payout

I've bought something new, put down the deposit yesterday, not a type r unfortunately, the one i wanted to buy was taken off the market cause his sister needed the spare car.

In the need for a car, I saw something that I liked.

Will post pics when I take delivery.

    Luke, s'all good

Want all my spares? lol nfi what to do with em

  4. Thanks for the best wishes guys,

yeah its justcar auctioning off the stivo, i have no idea how to find out how much it goes for, very curious

i dont know what happened really, i never saw the car after i crashed it, the assessment centre told me it was bunged up good, there was oil leaking after the accident

ive been paid out by insurance, looking for a new car now, selection here in adelaide is very limited. sucks alot because i need a car to get to work too

  5. Bonbon mate,

    very lucky

looking to go back to a type r, miss my old one, but its impossible to find cars in sa >.<

  6. Hey guys :)

for those with abit of time and spare cash on their hands

came around a corner too fast, i screwed it.

it's been written off by justcar, at pickles, being auctioned tomorrow.

they told me an engine mount went through the block, so i don't think its worth much

it is repairable though, no chassis damage

things worth the most are proll the tyres, re001 - 3 weeks old, screen - alpine (the top one) 5 days old.... and the trd intake

its going up for auction tmw in sa, has nothing to do with me anymore

  7. thanks bro, at the moment im thinking i should leave it as it is... its got the following on it already

    1) custom CAI to fit the original induction box

    2) lowered

    3) front strut bar (a thin one that is different from what seen from other front struts)

    4) supposedly a $2000 sound system... (I just ported my newer head unit i had in my old Cortina =P)

He said that the front struts that go near the back of the chasis isn't neccessary the best place to put it. (i think most of the corollas have it in this thread) I didn't really notice it until he pointed it out.

I'll post some pictures up to show you guys what I mean, AFTER i clean the car lol...

For some reason, his sportivo handles so much better compared to the others, the other 4 i drove before i bought this one all had the front strut attached to the usual place. Any reason for this u think???

edit: I just looked at the engine, it hasn't got any front struts... He did mention something that when lowered, it really doesnt need a front or rear strut as it's already stiff on the tight turns. reading abit in the forums, everyone is pretty confident about the ride handling when it comes to front and rear struts.

I guess if your really gonna race then sway bars will definetely make a difference. I look more into a more comfortable ride and handling under "normal" everyday driving with "a bit of fun" at times when i'm bored :P

    hai duy :P
