thanks, and ive just found out after a bit of reading that the maxxis MA-v1 in that size have a load rating of 83v which dont meet the req. so it seems my dec is easy!

need some advice, have ordered a set of buddyclub 17x7 for my 05 sportivo, and was looking at either the FEDERAL 595 EVO or the MAXXIS MAV-1 both. Both are in 215x40x17 and both will be fitted for $150.00ea and i want to get them this weekend when the wheels come in. I haven't tracked the car yet, but after a CAI and some new springs may decide to do so on the odd occasion, so most of it is city/suburb driving. from what ive been told, both are pretty good (for a cheaper end of the scale tyre) the FEDERAL are apparently more noisy, softer/stickier and will last less (but probably better on the track). Was also told the EVO is quieter and slightly better than the SS595. The MAXXIS MAV-1 will last longer and are quiter but maybe not as good on a track, and not as soft so will have slightly less grip, however have rated well in tests. which ones should i get?................i'll be getting a set of 4 this weekend and not sure which ones i should go.
