1. Thanks Freddy Find a PM in your inbox
2. Have had no problems either. I did it a different way by creating a data disk using AShampoo. Simply sorted out what albums and tracks I wanted and simply burnt them to a CDR. If you want to get tecko and have them in some sort of oder you can number each folder in which order you want to burn them EG 01. Joe Satriani 02. Chris Rea 03. 3 Doors Down 04. Faith Hill & Tim Mcgraw and even the track in the same manner Any questions drop me a pm ... be only to pleased to help you
3. Very nice .... chrome wheels .... black car .... looks great mate. I had a black VYS with chrome on it ... looked hot ... not as nice as the Aurion but yeah. I found a site that a lota chrome wheels in it ... u may be interested in taking a look. http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/
4. Well done .... you got what you wanted and even got what you requested ... nice to know that some dealers actually want to sell vehicles and have a happy customer ... I'm sure your going to be happy with your purchase
5. Cheers m8 .... thanks I'm pretty happy with the outcome :)
6. Darius Awesome m8 ... sounds really good ... I wonder if the missus will lol
7. Hey Davo, I had a look at your photos, but to be a pain in the...... I am hopeing to get a direct on side shot in stead of the angle side shot, any possibilities mate. Cheers Hisko Hey Hisko Have done m8 ... scroll up a few posts and you'll see another photo I added in response to another request. NOT the few I placed at the very top cheers
8. @ ZR88 lol ... yep rims coiuld be a good start and when u do go to lower it .. pays just to check for yourself with insurance @PaultMT Thanks mate. I wasn't sure about the colour when I bought it but now ... it's more than grown on me .. nice choice Paul :) As for spending money ... well I think that's it for me for a while ... well till I talk the missus around doing an exhaust job on it lol @Davenic Cheers thanks ... be interesting to see where it settles too
9. Thanks m8 ... I have some photo's of Aurions I had acquired before we bought ours and I notice one of which I have is in fact your car ... Yours must have made an impression .. in fact I was checking it out b4 and noticed the little whites marks on the road and wondered what they were ... durr ... reflections from the sun. Again thanks for the comment. Second best thing I did joining this forum I think ... the 1st best was buying the ZR6 .. what a great car
10. Welcome to "Ohh What A Feeling" and I refuse to do the jump that goes with it in case I throw a hip
11. Driveways can be a right pain in the ar$e at times .... I went into on today and screwed up my face thinking I was going to bottom out but it didn't. Maybe the xtra 10mm will be okay in your instance. Fulcrum, up here in Townsville anyway, are as dear as poison not to mention a little fague when asked questions ... maybe they might be an option for you. So your looking at doing it yourself ...but unsure huh?
12. AcoustiK From Pedders, or even Fulcrum, as far as I know, they make only one set of springs to lower the Aurion. I asked this question about different heights before I went ahead did it. Some vehicles can go down so far and others .. not so much. Had me confused when he mentioned this but who am I ... he's the expert. As for warranty issues ... Yes I agree with you to some extent ... the lowered springs are not that much heavier then the standard lowered spring that are in the ZR6 and SX6. Next to NO difference in ride comfort. All in all it's what I wanted and I guess that's the chance I was willing take. The TRD ... down at the same height as mine ... wonder what suspension they have in it? Is there any difference to the other components you mentioned? Any luck m8 there will be no claims anyway ... "OHH What A Feeling"
13. Good reply Paul :) ... cheers mate
14. oh ok, i was also thinking something along those lines. Thanks I was going to make that inquiry ... and I guess I should have but I didn't. Probably wise to if your a lil concerned that your suspension is going to fall out lol. I did however make the call to my insurance company b4 doing it ... just to make sure there were no issue's there. RACQ ... no worries
15. Kinda think it's a little late to ask opinions when the deal has been made ... sorta like closing the gate after the horse has bolted .. lol
16. Just another product the car yards try to sell. IMO not worth the money that you pay for it. I had it done to a new car I bought a few years back and I guess I was a little naive and wanted to look after my car. Nothing beats a good clean and Leather clean and condition from yourself to keep it all smick.
17. Handling? Having the car a little lower to the center of gravity will improve anything .. even an ol'e Austin A40 .. lol .. The Aurion feels better than what it did. Roundabouts I tackled felt kinda like I was on rails. Clearance over speed bumps ... no worries. I haven't tried nosing into places that have a gutter as yet, that may be an issue where as before it use to sit above the gutter, now ...well I just dunno yet. All in all .... feels great
18. Hey ZZR88 ... thanks mate it does huh Yup ... only the springs been changed
19. Listened to what u guys had to say and well I went ahead and did it today. Pedders Sports Ryder Springs installed. I reckon I got a pretty good deal with a mate that works at Pedders $571 fitted with a four wheel alignment? It ended up going down 42mm and well now I reckon it just looks great. I arrived back after dropping it off and was like a nervous woman with a new hair do then it rolled out WOW ... looking good. I think the missus could tell I was happy with the grin from ear to ear that I had. Just what it needed to give it that little extra bit of spruce. Anyway thanks to those that advised and persuaded me to take this plunge ... good choice ppl :) See below for the difference. The 1st shot just after I got the wheels and the second two .... just taken tonight .... notice the difference? Night time shots in the carport fella's not real good but gives you a general idea ... apart from the last one ... Cheers

Inferno Zr6

Good Choice m8 and as for feeling **** hot behind the wheel .... UHH huh lol. I actually said to the missus tonight over dinner I feel that the guy on that Roofing add on TV .. the one where he just gazes at his roof well that's what I'm like with our ZR6 ... wonder if that feeling will wear off. Again ... good choice ... the drive well ... uhh huh :)
21. To the spring thickness. Slightly heavier. My main aim is to just close the gap I have that is seen at the top of the tyre to the guard IE not be able to see thru ... if you know what I mean. I don't particularly want it down over the top of the tyres
22. @2ZR-FE LOl ... thanks for the input m8. I have mad a decision and made the booking for this Saturday Hope I'm not going to regret it
23. Now that looks nice. Not real loud huh? Shame about the welding flash I just got lol
24. @V8toy Thanks for the reply m8. As to the rolling circumference that was one of my main concerns when I bought the wheel tyre combination. Was told I would have a slight decrease in speedo reading with a slightly different rolling circumference. That I can live with. As I mentioned the only concern was bottoming out. Mind you it's not like I'm dropping it on it ar$e completely. Apart from looking better ... performance is a big PLUS @VF-X Cheers mate and thanks for the info. I did ask the guys at Pedders if the spring diameter was greater, thinking how the ride would be, and they tell me there is only .5 - 1mm difference in the diameter. So I guess it'd off to Pedders I go. @DKzr6 Like your car m8 ... looks real nice you have done a good on it. I had looked at it a few times and did notice it was pretty low. Kinda thought your wheel diameter might have been 19 or even 20 for some reason ... maybe cause it's low and the wheels appears to fill the guard area. Lucky you having a client in the suspension area. Chassis rails over some bumps ouch. Thanks for the input @AcoustiK How u doin ... thanks for the input. Not too sure about the leak you mention. I do understand your thoughts on the slight comfort in ride cnage but with the .5 - 1mm change in thickness I'm not thinking it's going to make that much difference. I did, understandably as I knew I would, notice the change going from the lil razors I had on to the 19's and a much bigger foot print. All in all though I'm more than happy with the out come so far. Still just a little skeptical about dropping it ... I probably will ... I think LOL
25. We have had a our ZR6 for four weeks now and our 19" wheels for three. I often stand and just look at the car and think ... damn I'm pleased with our purchase. We got a price from Pedders to lower it as I thought that's what I wanted, 600 odd bucks, btw they only do one lowering option, and my thoughts went back to the VY-S we had that use to rub while driving hard and the odd front in park that also knocks the front spoiler around a bit. Not that you could see the scratches as they were underneath but I knew they were there. I enjoy driving ... I mean really enjoy driving ... hard cornering on windy roads. I wouldn't consider myself a mug lair but simply a driver that enjoys what the Aurion has to offer I have been on this forum for a little while and have red a fer posts from different users about lowering. I understand the dynamics of it all and also want my car to look as good as it can ... lets face it we all like our rides to turn the odd eye or two. My question here ppl is:- Is there any repercussions from doing as I want? IE 245/35ZR19 on a 19x8 is a pretty big combo on a mid size car like the Aurion ... YES plenty of clearance at it's current stock height ... is it going to rub on the inner guards when lowered? Am I going to have problems with speed humps? And the nose into gutters ... is the word $hit going to be said as I scrape the underside. From memory the guy at Pedders said it would drop it by approx. 35-40mm. Maybe someone has used Pedders to lower there Aurion by this amount and can talk me into to doing what I think I really want to do Thanks in advance for the input ppl. I enjoy reading what others have done and some of the delima's others are having.
