My 2 cents... In the last month and a half, my wife's RAV4 ZR6 has done 2342.3k and used 256.58l on unleaded (I should know - I have to fill it up every week). This works out to about 10.95l/100km. Most of the driving is stop/start short journeys and a bit of highway on the weekends. It's not as bad as what some of you guys get but my Aurion averages about 9.35l/100km (averaged over about 8000ks)

Just checked consumption on wife's RAV4, info for anyone who is looking up how the V6 engine fares. Filled up when the orange light was on. A mix of mostly city and a little highway driving. 47.84l for 473.1 km = 10.11 l/100km this is for a RAV4 ZR6 (v6) Oct 2007 model with about 1100ks on the odo.

Had the Touring for almost a month now. Every time I fill up, the display goes up to 30 or 40l/100km. It gets normal after about 3-4 kms. Most days it varies between 8.5 and 11. For a challenge, I thought I'd try to see how low I could make it - managed to get it down to about 7.9. Most of the driving on highway and suburbs Actual figures from filling up: 581.9km 55.03l = 9.46 l/100km 585.3km 54.20l = 9.26 l/100km (yesterday)

high powered cars If you look at the Transport QLD pdf in the link (on page 6) - it says that the Aurion is a "permitted example". It is ok for a QLD P plater to drive an Aurion...

I know the feeling, my last 3 cars were white and for the new one, wife and kids raised serious objections about white.. "You're not buying another white car.." Picked up an Aurion Touring in Caribbean Blue last week. Thought the blue was ok and now it seems to be growing on me and looks really good.. Whatever colour you choose, enjoy it..
