  2. Castle Hill quoted $3200 2 months ago with GST, fitted and with wheel alignment. Apparently they had the last pack in Australia, although I'm not sure about now.

I would've bought it but unfortunately I was short on funding. Either ordering it yourself or through Castle Hill will cost you an arm and a leg but you will have to pay a high price these days to get something decent.

Have you considered other alternatives other than TRD? A few other members have different setups for around that price...

IMO coilovers would be the best bet.

From $3200 you could get Tanabe Sustec Pro NF/GF for around $1500 plus have enough left over for a wheel alignment, front and rear swaybars, and maybe a front strut brace too.

You would also get greater height adjustment with coilovers(2" front & 2.5" rear with Tanabe, or about 1" with TRD).

    :D

  3. looking good Jesse! hope to be seeing you at the annual

Thanks Charlie, i'll be at the annual meet for sure! Fingers crossed for good weather.

Jebus! how loud is it with that torpedo removed?? mine was teeth shattering!! I decided to put it back in after 2 minutes!

At the moment i'm finding the exhaust to be very loud and droney, but the guy who installed it said if it gives me any troubles he will redo it and try to make it quieter.

  4. A couple of weeks ago i got a custom made cat-back exhaust system, and last weekend i picked up a set of HSD adjustable camber plates. :D

I also randomly decided to remove the engine cover and the front panel.

  5. Hey all,

Last week i'd been doing some searching for aftermarket exhaust headers for the ZRE Corolla, but unfortunately i didn't find anything so i tried searching for Scion parts and found these...

    http://www.dcsports.com/4into1headersscion.html

It turns out that the '08-'10 Scion xD (ZSP-110 Toyota IST in Japan) is fitted with the 2ZR-FE engine. I also got an email from Castle Hill Toyota confirming that the Corolla and xD/IST use the same exhaust manifold (just to be sure).

    :yahoo:

  6. How does it sound mate?

It sounds great! It starts out as a deep rumble at low revs, then becomes a loud roar from about 3500rpm onwards. :D

no prob with the maf sensor jesse ?

No problems at all. Everything went in pretty smoothly. :)
