  1. Hi All,

My little cousin is about to go out into the world and buy his first car and during the discussion the old sportivo came up! Can you still buy a nice manual sportivo, from memory it was v6 3.0 litre? did production end in 2005? any help with the engine type would be appreciated so we can jump on carsales etc and find out what they are worth.

Or even better, anyone know of 1 for sale?

thanks for your help guys and gals.....

  2. HI Micheal,

AUspack never gave me a choice and i was supplied with the bumper camera (round one) I have the ZR6 so there was already a hole there but the hole is a little smaller than required. Anyway its a tight enough fit (and the hard plasitc surround can be shaped a little) that you don't have need a bracket however i personally couldn't get the camera angle exactly right... it does work and its great but its not perfect.

    hope this helps a little,

    Nate

  3. well, a good start would be to buy a car with wheels ;) :P LOL

its entirely up to you to make that decision...

    Evo

thanks Evo. Until i bought the Aurion last year i've never been a car person. Its only through this forum that i've begun to understand CAI and other wonderful acronyms. I'm just asking for the opinion of people like yourself who really know cars whether i'm better spending my money else where or is a second hand TRD Aurion suitable "bang for your buck"?

and CHA54 thanks for your advice but i would really preferr something under new car warranty still as i'm completely reliant on mechanics if something goes wrong...

  4. Hi all,

after telling everyone i was going to buy a TRD aurion (07 3500SL) i got into a friendly drunken arguement with a mate who has basically convinced me to look at other options. I've basically been called an idiot for being willing to spend an extra 15 grand for a front wheel drive with 241 Kw. The argument being is:

if i'm going to spend 45k (thats my limit set by me) on a car because i want something faster for that driving pleasure then than there are better cars out there. So my question to all of you is what would you buy if you had 45k to spend and why?

  5. hi there, not much help i'm afraid, seems i'll neved get a decent set up over here in WA but please see below response from CES:

    Good afternoon Nathan,

Thank you for your email enquiry.

We haven't to date had any enquiries for your model vehicle.. (or not enough to warrant trial-ing and jigging up for production) .. so far.

CES Racing Systems can fabricate an exhaust system for your vehicle which will achieve power results. Your model vehicle would have to be done as a custom job requiring the vehicle in house for fitting.

We specialise in Performance and problem solving. We would need to discuss with you what you need.. better sound, more power and any mods? to work with..

Depending on all these choices (viewing the vehicle/spacing/engine specs).. Trevor can offer you a full needs quotation. Perhaps a holiday to Gold Coast is in order...?

Custom Exhaust Specialists can offer you mandrel bending service, fully flanged system, qualified tradesmen, legal dbs, workmanship guarantees on final product. Let us know.

EFTPOS facilities available for your convenience. Ceramic coating agents (for headers) etc..

Not only fitment, quality and sound.. but power is the main aim of most of our customers.

To achieve all these needs we need to include quality items in order to achieve LEGAL DBS.

Nathan attached (Example) today is a photo shot of Toyota Camry Sportivo V6 (custom headers) fabricated recently... customer informed fuel usage went from 14 litres/100 down to 11 litres/100... Telephone and talk with Trevor about the benefits of upgrading your exhaust system.

    Regards
