  1. Give it some time. Fuel efficiency is not going to be too great when you're still breaking in the vehicle. My late 2007 2.4L CV covers about 400km at the 1/4 mark. Last I filled her up, it was 479km, 48 litres = approx 10L/100km. It's always been consistent, around the 10.0 - 10.5 mark. 91 RON always, 35 PSI all round.
  2. If I recall the RAV driver's manual explains the fashion by which the tyres should be rotated. I religiously adhere to rotating tyres, and have done this as part of the first 10,000km service - front wheels to rear, rear wheel to front. The car was pulling slightly to the left when I first collected it, it now tracks fine though. Reaching 20,000km in about a month or two and will certainly rotate the tyres then.
  3. I had my 1 month+ old RAV 2.4 CV running past 2500km on the odometer this week and finally had a chance this morning to measure the fuel efficiency. Just shy of the 1/4 tank mark, I've clocked 422.7km. I pumped a full tank at the station measuring 41.15L. That means I still have about another 20L to go. Fuel efficiency would therefore be 422.7/41.15 = 10.3km/L or 9.8L/100km. 70% highway 30% urban this time. I reckon I could actually go past the 10L/100km mark if I'd emptied the tank! And oh, I'm so very light-footed. :)
  4. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic who can do general maintenance/servicing/repairs for the RAV4? Thanks.
