  1. i have my suspiscions that the plastic cover over the gauges isn't secured properly, hence the rattle
  2. would be awesome if you could post pics and/or a guide, much appreciated
  3. took my stivo in for her 1000km service yesterday morning and told them about the rattles, they said they tightened everything behind the dash cluster but the rattle still returns when i drive on bumpy roads (although not as bad as before), so i've nailed it down to the plaster cover in front of the gauges as a few have mentioned above... there is no rattle if i hold the cover down while driving so it must be it... should i tell toyota? or is there something i can do myself to fix it
  4. i was quoted 500 for the ming tint, although i got it included with the car
  5. i'm pretty sure they'll be too tight to fix it so i might just pop it in with some glu tack or something
  6. as the topic says, i have a really stupid problem... the screw cap on the inside of my rear right door (where the handle is) doesn't sit in as it should, not a huge problem but should i try and get it fixed when i bring it in for the first service? or tell my dealer about it now... i suspect the contractors that were tinting the windows buggered it up
  7. just with the mp3 cd player, i'd recommend organising songs into folder, that can save alot of time on trying to find the one you want
  8. i find the gearshift from 2nd and 3rd a bit notchy too, takes more effort then the other gears and you need to give it a good push right to get it in... stereo is fine for me but i'm not a sound enthusiast... i can't answer the rest as i've only just picked her up a few days ago but all i can say is GET ONE!
  9. woke up this morning and went to check out the car and the bubbles had disappeared yay! now to sort out that rattling from behind the dash and the air getting into the car sound btw i got the titanium tint (not sure if its the right name?) by ming's through my dealer
  10. not sure how long its been done for, got it from the dealer, i'll give it a few more days and see if they go away... they told me i could open my windows today so i tried to see if the bubbles might go away, still there so i'll give it some time...
  11. hey guys, my new stivo has bubbles in the tinting, a few biggish ones on the rear left window... will they go away as the tint sets or should i inform my dealer about this?
  12. no i don't think its the gear selector cables rattling, was more like wind was getting into the car as such, friend was in the car with me and that's what we both thought
  13. i picked up my stivo today and it seems i have a similar problem, think it might be the windows but i can't touch them till tomorrow due to the tint, so i'll see what happens tomorrow
  14. just got my stivo today, i want to go ^^
  15. why couldn't my car come out of the factory looking like that >.<
  16. oh i will :) hmm btw i've thread a few of the threads on how to run in the car and it seem alot of people have given theirs' varied driving conditions, would it be wise to take it to lift within the first 1000kms?
  17. amen to that ^^ still kicks most of the stuff today imo
  18. hey all, had this account registered ages ago waiting to get a stivo, me and dad finally took a trip down to le mans dealership in footscray today and signed for a silver stivo after getting the rip from melbourne city $28,600 including titanium tint and mats probably could have gotten it down a bit more but they were going on about how the cars they had in stock were all the newest batch so we just gave up and signed for the above price hope to join the stivo ranks soon ^^ btw i'm from the springvale area and my friend also has a current model so if you guys see a pair of silver stivos cruising along its probably us :)
