  1. ;) I'm surprised the 1/4 mile junkies here haven't gone into basic weight reduction before.

BTW - Back seat is very easily removed :D

No need to remove back seats, just fold them down. Apparently it reduces weight and gives more downforce over the rear wheels.

did you know that if u fart in your car whilst doing excessive speeds, your car gains a few kw's

    kidding kidding

    but on a more down to earth note =D iv been shopping for an exhaust for my Other car *secret secret* and lets just say compared to ces... ... ... CES IS DIRT CHEAP. ; ;

the exhaust im after is worth 3 times as much and prob only gives about 15-20kw's

but yea.... lets keep the posts impartial pplz... =D

(e-gene.. where are u.... get bangn off da ban list la)

  2. wasnt apocalypse killed in a x-men training scenario =D

didnt wolverine get thrown by man of steel =D

all i saw was da head drop down K.O

  3. Ok i got around to detailing my car today...

gave it the full baby works Ph neutral shampoo + 35degree water

degreesed the wheels and brushed it off with tyre cleaner

claybar the whole car from top to bottom practically used up all my quick detail spray and so i ended up using shampoo and water solution for the rest.

At which this point the car was gleaming... absolutely mirror finish so obviously the next step is either rubbing compound or *bypass that step* and add sealent or wax

so i read the package and it says apply wax with pad and let it settle for a few minutes, wipe off with damp cloth then buff with a dry cloth...

At which this point i thought simple on and off and buff... i then did it and when i was taking it off it was leaving sections of "carnubal blob" which i tried to buff out but it keeps being pushed around.

It took me 2 hours too buff the front and the driver side door at which this point i grabbed my barely used "meguires quick wax spray and did the rest of the car".

Comparing to it the quick wax spray works best leaving a more gleaming reflective appearance whereas the application of the yellow carnubal wax makes it smudgy and not as appealing as i had hoped for.

How do i make this buffing process less tedious? can any1 give me some tips?

  5. my lock nut broke about 1 month ago.

    the lock warped

the nut screwed on like G 0 D creating cement

dont go to tyre shops they dont know anything about taking locknuts off cars apart from rattle gun

I went to 3 tyre shops and none of them knew how to take off lock nuts, i told them to get a welding machine. but they were like... wat would u know ...

(i knew i should have tried bob jane.... why do i always go to stupid kmart auto in times of need.)

    method 1

get a chizel and a hammer aim at 1 side and bang it in on an 45 degree angle (not 90 degree), your trying to make a point whereby wedging the chizel into the nut and using the force of the hammering to undo the nut., very tedious *high chance of damaging rims*

    method 2

find a welding guru i.e someone that does mig tig welding or something. Get a unused poll and weld the poll to the head of the nut. Weld as much as you can so that it will stick on. and now jump on the poll with your foot and it should come off.

*cover rims from the welding as obvious welding = UV rays and will damage the paint if not carefull + also to cover overspray of the welding.

Your best bet to find a place with welding gear is an exhaust shop, or metal fabrications workshop.

    method 3

is the one stated by unfamilia

find a nut that is a tad bigger then your lock nut and wack it on untill its stuck then undo it with the socket.

*Best is to use a rattle gun for this method*

*Both methods 1 and 2 will DAMAGE your rims if not carefull*

    cheerz hope that helps.

  6. I'm agreeing with marcus

    iv personally experienced with

    kuhmo

    bridgestone

    falken

and of the three i recommend bridgestones as it works in wet and dry.

the g3 series is good approx 140-165 each

as for kuhmo's they are great but dont last long

falkens... they are good ..... only in the dry...

  7. seriously saying... we can't go without petrol unless we give up driving entirely!!

For those who thinks that petrol will go back in the range of 80cents to $1..... sad to say that is wishful thinking!!

No offence but theres some very ingenius new ideas out that will probably bring the price of petrol down to under $1 in about 10 years if you are patiently able to wait that long.

And the petrol companies have been ripping us off even before the last petrol price spike in the early 90's its all normal for a growing world / economy to want more.

    running on water

This dude who made this HHO is under huge scrutiny as it breaks all science and physics to use such a product as a fuel. I think scientists need to pull their heads out of their asses and do some work instead of bragging its not possible to use water as a fuel. Seriously if this comes out in 10 years... "how much will water cost? O.o?"

this old man has now become an instant BILLIONAIRE (soon)

  8. IM INTO THIS MOVIE OMG LOOKS SO GOOD

i dunno lately comic series turned into movies are getting so much better. I've got a huge expectation with this movie =P

i mean you must have been a fan of atleast x men, spiderman, batman as a kid (thats the very least 1 of them) if not u were deprived when you were younger =D

I say on with the mutant war! ... oooOOoooo phoenix appears.

  9. he is one of the worlds most expensive car washers,

his market is EXOTICS not cheap corollas

cars like bugghati veryon and ferrari f1's etc...

heres a link for all those who like to criticize his work

    http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/04-20-06...arDetailing.htm

after watching this i bet ud all be thinking.... i wish i got a carwash from him.

    quote:

"For many, the thought of spending (so much) to detail a car seems faintly ridiculous," Mr Dalton said.

i see why he said that. DID U =D

  10. what u mean is custom painted headlights.

cannot do diy as it is hard and possibility of breaking ur headlights is high

i heard people put their headlights in oven for a while to loosen the seals to open (hence why possibility of break is so high)

Look around in yellowpages i guess... usually this job is done for 300-500 bux and if ur lucky maybe cost u more, good luck.

  11. did you take your car to a reputable wheel align place? kmart auto and tyrepower = dont know wat they doing

lazer precision alignment doesnt work either.

check your shocks if 1 is leaking it will change your steering.... seriously... dont listen to any1 if they say... BS at this point bcoze its true and any suspension place will say so.

also a tiny percentage goes to how much ware and balance is on your tyres.

but if its pulling alot im getting the vibe that ur cars been in a bingle (i could be totally wrong about this vibe)

but agreed with micky_tee if it only pulls a little its normal, no mechanic or G0 D himself can make a car go perfectly straight

  12. my bad =P i thought u had 2000 posts

and concidering the date you joined it would have been on the same pace as corzza =D hence the laugh out loud (*rocket posts*)
