  1. I think she's saying that there isn't a charge directly related to having that many people in the car. Ie. a law saying # of passengers = # of seatbelts

I'm sure you can get done on endangering life or something along those lines.

But with her saying that, people will take it as a "they can't do anything to us" if they decide to overload

Yeah i can see now a lot of ppl going to abusing this now.

And it will all be fault of Nixon saying it is legal.

But why as the last guy (CME-LFT) said about the VIN plate stating the number of seats, what the hell would that be used for then if its legal to overload.

  2. Ms Nixon said so long as all of the car's seat belts were being used, overloading the vehicle with people was not a crime.

    WTF!

"In fact it's the number of seat belts. I think it's four or something in this car, and if those people had the seatbelts on, no, it's not an offence.

    Wasnt there 8 people?

Seven of the car's occupants were Sudanese.

    ROFL COPTER.

It is believed the driver of the car was a learner driver.
Six men and two women aged between 18 and 25 were in a Mitsubishi Lancer

Why is it that an L plater can have more passengers then a P plater?

This is just rediculous. Victorian road rules are outragous.

They say that it was perfectly legal. My a,s,s.

  3. Saw a Plate on a

    VY Commodore with

    "VY2NV" (VY TO ENVY)

Typical commodore drivers thinking there all that.

    But the list goes on.

    I have seen...

    "VL2NV"

    "VT2NV"

    ETC...

Ha I remember one that was on the news a while back. It was a VL commodore wrapped around a pole with

    "MR*PSI"

And the cops said they were investigating the crash. LOL. The answer is staring them in the face. P plater with VL with plates "MR*PSI".

    LOL.

  4. I think splitting the upcoming cruises and past cruises/events into states would be easier on navigation.

I have found a few people have posted topics without eg. [VIC] on the start of topics. Creating a lil less interest.

See where as if they were split into say VIC, ACT, WA, SA, QLD the right hings can be posted on there.

PS. Supraforums had this and its a ***** load easier to find events in your state.

    Eg.

  5. Personally I think removing the spoiler.

Gives it that slick smooth look.

    Thats my 2 cents.

    Nice wheels BTW.

If you were thinking of a aluminuim or carbon spoiler like all hard out tuners have think again. Cause it would ruin the whole look of the car.

So yeah remove it, it will look sporty but not over the top.

Send us a PM if you ever do.

    Cheers

  6. I was thinking to top off our TOCAU cruises off we should go out for a track day at WINTON RACEWAY on one of their FUN DAYS.

Want to start organizing something early so we can get as many TOCAU members to come along.

Myself and HOTSUP have been before in his Supra and the whole day there was no accidendents so it is pretty safe and there are no crazy inexperienced drivers out on the track and if there is they will be sent off.

So a lil bit of info for a lil interest here.

    OK well....

    (COPIED FROM SITE)

Ever wanted to get your Car on a Race Track?

With thanks to Autobrakes Winton Raceway will be again holding its popular Family Fun Day on December 17th. The Autobrakes Fun Day is a unique concept started by Winton Raceway about 9 years ago to give people that have never experience motorsport a chance to at a low level entry costs and to give access to race teams to have a fun orientated day with pit crews, family and friends all able to join in the fun.

What do you need to participate in the Autobrakes Fun Day?

You will require a Australian Standard approved helmet. Be covered from wrist to neck to ankle in a flame retardant material clothing, i.e. overalls and suitable closed in footware.

The car needs to be of a roadworthy or race worthy condition and have all lose objects removed from the car. All brake lights should be working as there are a number of cars on the circuit sometimes of different capabilities therefore brake lights are important to warn participants behind that you are stopping.

There are no licences required for the day but drivers need to be over the age of 16, but this would depend on the stature and capabilities of the person involved. Passengers may be younger than sixteen but must be able to fit into the vehicle in a safer manner.

    The Format of the day

The day starts of with a safety check of your car and registration. It is important that you complete the necessary paper work for insurance requirements. At approximately 9:00 – 9:30 there is a briefing, at which all participants need to attend. The briefing covers the safety conduct of the day on the track and is important to understand where to go if your car is in distress and what to do with yourself and who will help you in various situations. The officials will also give a run down on signalling by either flags or signs and what is required when you see these signals.

The session usually starts with a driver only session. This usually runs for about 30 minutes and then the session are swapped to driver & passenger session. This usually runs for around 30 minutes then reverts back to driver. This activity structure is generally followed throughout the day but may be subject alteration to fit with the number and types of cars that attend.

There is air available for tyres but you will need your own pressure gauge or borrow someone’s on the day. Fuel will be available, AVGAS, ULP, BP Ultimate and JFP Racing Unleaded at selected times through the day.

The kiosk will be open and will have hot and cold food and drinks available.

If you have not been to a Winton Fun Day and are interested in participating in motorsport or a least seeing what all the fuss is about the you should mark December 17th in your calendar as a fun day for the whole family.

The cost of the Day is $25 per participant, for more details contact Winton Motor Raceway on (03) 5766 4235. Special Thanks for the day go to Autobrakes who make it the costs reasonable for people to attend.

    OK TO SUMMARISE IT ALL

    COST= $25 for all day!

30 MINS DRIVER ONLY then 30 MINS DRIVER/PASSENGER ONLY

    NEED APPROVED AUS HELMET

    ROADWOTHRY (LIGHT WORKING ETC.)

    FLAME RETARDANT MATERIAL CLOTHING

    Thats pretty much it.

There is going to be a poll option up top so let me know thru that.

There is two poll questions asking about interests and also what equipment you have.

    Thanks.

Hopefully we will get enough interest to have an exellent DECEMBER outing.

Need more info go to the WINTON RACEWAY HOMPAGE

  7. How did you like your first cruise without being a passenger or a L plater? I saw you took it a little easy, which is good. Like the way you've kept your car in shape too. Nice colour ;)

    THanks man.

Yeah always keeping the car looking sexy. ;) Reg polishes and all.

    Yeah na It was great.

Pushed it real hard some corners but by the end of it my tires felt a lil too slippy for my likings.

But yeah so i backed it off.

I also backed it off after I went sideways on the blind corner where BonBon went on the other side of the road.

Lol. I was a car behind him. Went around and saw and was like holy ***** e.

Cheers to the guy in the Aurion (soz forgot ya name) for braking behind me there cause a few more guys would have run up the a r s e of us if you didnt.

    But na great fun.

Hopefully soon enough I will put on more stable tires.

I had gone around a really easy bend at 110 and took the out-in-out technique and i was coming out of the corner my car felt like it was sliding across the road. Not good.

But hey gotta love slotted discs.

  8. Pretty stoked about a first car huh?

    I def was.

    Specially a TOYota.

Just got me Ps recently and im stoked as to drive my own baby round.

Na man looks nice but i do agree that TLC is needed.

Real nice. Wouldnt mind one myself!

  9. Why would ppl do this?

    Tell me please.

    Well story goes.,,,

I was at Galvin Park Secondary COllege yesterday for my own muck up day.

I had parked my lil baby round the back of the school where I do everyday when I have classes. ;)

We had busses to go to wittlesea for a last excusion and we left at 10am. :)

All us year 12s went. :D

The excusion went until 4pm in the afternoon. :P

We got back off the bus at 4:15pm and what happens to be on the windscreen and side windows of my baby?

    TOMATO SAUCE!!!!!!!

Some had gone onto the paint.

As I had gotten to the car I touched it to see how long it had been sitting their for.

I put my finger on it and it was rock hard.

So i presume that it must have been on for ages.

So i drove straight to the nearest car wash to get it off. <_<

I checked the paint for any damage but because of lighting and all it was a lil bit hard to see but for now i think there is no damage to the paint. <_<

But why would some ignorant ***** be so stupid to damage some persons pride and joy.

Like all the year 12s knew how much i babied my car and how ****** i got if anyone touches my car.

Why would they do this?

I still am ****** about it today because I really wanna smash this persons head in who did this.

  10. I have a 42" blue underglow.

Hooked up to my batt atm with a switch under the bonnet.

Want to know where I could hook it up so if I had left the switch on it would turn off when the car was switched off.

    Got a 1985 Toyota Corona.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks ppls.

You aint got no HP so u gotta do sumthin!!

Who needs HP when u have LEDS :P

    Rofl Copter to that.

Yeah checked fuses and yeah was the fuses for both parker and indicators.

  11. This is pretty basic here's a wiring diagram that my underglows are using..

    2jafg95.jpg

    Hahaha I love the diagram!

    Nice. :P

Yeah i got out yesterday and put it to the Cig lighter.

Works well. Works just how i want it.

    THanks.

But as i did it I did something and now my parkers arent working prop now.

At the start I wired it to my parkers and yeah dunno what happen.

HeadLights and brakes work, Hazards do. Just no idicators or parkers, no dash. :(

  12. Im not sure where to place this topic but here is the closest one i could find to my problem.

I recently downloaded Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 from there website.

Installed it fine but now when I go and open it, it crashes and closes.

It has done this since I had installed it.

I have WINDOWS VISTA but yeah dunno if this is the problem.

I have checked out mozilla forums and they have said its doing it because of my add ons.

But I turned all my add ons off and uninstalled them and it still happens.

I then uninstalled Ver. 3.0.1 and put ver. 2 and it still does it.

This never happened with 2. But now i cant fix it.

    Anyone can help with this.

    I hate my IE!

Please people any help would be apprciated.

    Thanks guys.
