  1. Many thanks for all the great info Kesawi. Although I must say you make me feel awfully guilty!! Cheers, Pete.
  2. Hi there, Certainly some great information in the link there. A quick question: Would it be evil of me to use a gurnie (the cheap $100 Bunnings Karcher variant) on a Crystal Pearl Kluger? Specifically, would it do any damage to the paint? Thanks, Pete.
  3. Greetings, I have the KX-S ( two weeks tomorrow and loving it!), with Toyota roof racks to existing roof rails. Absolutely no noise present. I did a trial with them on and off, and couldn't notice any difference. Pete.
  4. Greetings to all, Well as of 1000 today, I'm officially a member of the club. Hooray! Took delivery of my 2008 KX-S AWD, with: headlamp covers; mud guards; roof racks; tow pack; and rubber cargo mat. Price: $50679.20 on road from Nunawading Toyota. Fleet discount applied. Oh what a feeling!!!! Regards, Pete.
  5. Hi Holmesie, It was too good to be true as it turns out, although it is what I actually pay after fleet discount and GST removal are applied. I've just about given up trying to beat it up, as other dealers are generally $500+ more than this deal. Looks like I'd better sign up. Thanks, Pete.
  6. oops, I may have got my prices a bit wrong. The $46,600 is what I actually pay, and my lease amount, but it has the GST taken out (as no GST is payable). Therefore the actual price, is $51,000 including the extras listed above. How does that compare pricewise? I think I've pushed pretty hard, but would be keen to know whether there are people out there doing better. Thanks, Pete.
  7. Hi Holmesie, I just hope it's not too good to be true! I've got the written quote from the lease provider which says quote is valid for 14 days, so I'm busily doing the paperwork right now to lock it in. I think the dealers must be doing it tough! Cheers, Pete.
  8. Hi Tonester, I'm not sure which dealer it is yet, but I know it's not Cannon Toyota in Heidelberg. It has all been done through the leasing company (NLC) and I just kept pushing for a deal. I will update this when I confirm the dealer. I don't have a trade in. Pete.
  9. Hi Folks, I'm just finalising my Kluger KX-S purchase though novated lease with fleet discount etc and have come up with the following deal. Just wanted to bounce it off our resident experts to ensure I've left nothing on the table. I've ordered the following spec: KLUGER KX-S ALL WHEEL DRIVE METALLIC PAINT HEADLAMP COVERS MUD GUARDS AERO ROOF RACKS TOWPACK CARPET MATS RUBBER CARGO MAT Current price I've got it to is $46,600 on road. How does this compare? Thanks for any advice, Pete.
  10. Thanks very much for the feedback. I actually managed to see one and wholeheartedly agree that it does look ugly, and the fitted Tom Tom is very much entry level. I won't be pursuing that one further. Thanks again, Pete.
  11. Greetings, First of all, thank you for a brilliant resource, full of great information, for the prospective Kluger buyer. I've been reading regularly to learn about the Kluger and am now in a position to buy. At last!! My question relates to the FollowMe Navigation system (with the removable Tom Tom GPS and optional Ipod connection) available on the KX-S. Has anyone gone down this path, and if so, what are impressions, shortcomings etc. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Pete.
