Because it is not only an aesthetical thing, of course the road safety and environmental issues are not the best friends of some of the craziest tuners in Japan but there is always room for smart and "down to earth" modifications under the bonnet and the body.

What we had here was a new set of suspensions and springs, a couple reinforcement bars (floor cross bar, lower arm bar...), a new exhaust system and air filter, all made to increase the standard performance of the RX-8. Those who can afford it will go for the modified engine, here, you won't hear about twin turbo upgrades and high PSI, drivability is the key word and the mechanics mostly worked on increasing the "response" of the car and as we had the chance to test drive the MazdaSpeed RX-8 a couple weeks earlier (article in approach) I could pretty easily feel the differences between the 2...and I was really surprised to feel a more "agile" and "reactive" car.

Anybody wanting even more from this AutoExe SE-03 RX8 will also receive a new manual gearbox and sport clutch from the almost unlimited list of possibilities and options.

No surprise when it comes to the style of the car, we agreed to say that this is certainly the best front bumper for Mazda RX-8 that money can buy; it gives the car a look that no other tuner has been able to match so far.

The rest of the car is pretty much like the standard thing with the exception of the rear spoiler which, over the looks, is here to add down force to the car but to really benefit from its effects you should reach speeds that would probably get you into some serious trouble, unless you make the wise choice of a professional race track of course!

Plus:

Aggressive look

Improved performances

Sound

Overall quality

Conclusion:

AutoExe managed to turn what is already an excellent daily driver into an even more enjoyable ride, if you chose them to modify your RX-8 you'll go for a unique and aggressive style and, at the same time, a car offering new sensations.
