SPRING COMPRESSOR

Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help me with putting some springs in. i dont want to pay for a mechanic to do it cause i dont have that muc money on me right now so i was wondering if someone could help me out with it. i will buy them a bottle or two if they are willing.

i live in perth and i drive a 03 sportivo (they friggen rock)

I got a set of spring clamps at aussie auto for mine, and i used a bench vice to hold the strut saddle (be careful not too overtighten and bend or fold the strut saddle).

Check your smaller auto shops, they tend to have the wierder tools in stock.

Get a Haynes or Gregory's manual for your model and get a friend round to help. The books have step by step guides on how to remove, repair and replace pretty much the whole car.

One more thing, when you get the springs get new saddle rubbers as well, once they've set to a spring they don't fit another. Using the old one's will result in more squeaks bumps and rattles in the suspension and shorter strut life.
