LC 200 Sahara side mirrors

Have just discovered that the LC200 Sahara (maybe on VX nd GXL too) side mirrors dip to assist in reversing when reverse gear is selected. However this will only occur when the side mirror electric control lever is pushed to the left. (maybe will work if pushed to right too).

This can be frustrating. If the mirrors dip, then you can't see the sides of your vehicle if you're reversing into a narrow area (such as between a couple of other cars). Of course you've gotta fidget about and set the mirror switch to neutral to overcome this...

Can I fit folding mirrors to a standard gxl, narrow garage 2300.

Sorry, meant remote controlled folding mirror, passenger side. I can always fold manually drivers side.

Is any one wanting to sell their Sahara mirrors for a 2007 ttd. I got those towing mirrors and do a lot of off-road work.

I'm willing to swap them with you or just buy them.

Please let me know.

Was wondering if someone can help. I accidentally hit a post which pushed my 200 series Sahara mirror backwards. Now the bloody thing doesn't firmly lock in place and tends to fold in when I start the ignition. My question is if I buy an aftermarket LH mirror can I disassemble it and pinch the mechanism inside to replace what I suspect is broken in mine. Toyota want $2,900 for a replacement whereas an aftermarket unit is less than a tenth of the quoted price. Any comments welcome.
