you could start with a cold air intake (aka CAI).. that tends to do wonders with the sound on lift :P

:) ure comin to the meet right? cant wait to c it

Yeah im going for sure :yahoo:

may turn up with wayno and oz celica ppl

i was told not to worri too much on the CAI....... the factory air box sits right at the front of the engine bay

i cut out the impact frotection foam thing under the front bumper so the fresh air can get into the air box

also i cut out a bit of the tunnle inside the air box where the air flow meter is

i also gona fit a custom made fiberglass air scoop to guide the air

+ i put in the k&n panle filter it may help a bit

I dont know by doing all that would help at all or not

but i enjoy DIY so everyone is going CAI, and i am going different way lol

CAI is the only intake proven to work with us though. Even then it is minimal. AEM is best for stock ECU, Injen is preferred if you are running PowerFC and tuned for top-end.

Through the past DIY and ghetto mods have lost power. So either stay stock or go CAI IMHO.

wow i read some tips on hot4s and they said it would make difference when modify the stock air box :o ... lol may be it would not work on the 7th gen

looks like CAI is the way to go then

thx dude

anyway i read some article about engine cylinder head porting and looks like its better to leave the intake ports rought and polish the exhaust ports for better flow and "vacum" effect..... dont know if its ture??

The guys off newcelica.org stated that their common mods were the following:

- An actual intake

- Ported headers

- Apexi PFC

- Screamin' GTS motor mounts

- Clutch / Flywheel / Quickshift kit

I remember one guy I spoke to stated that porting the stock headers was the best option.
