How to climb into the Back Seat

Just came back from a test drive and was quite impress with the Kluger.

I did mentioned to the salesman that I had two small children that will require child restraints, how would you then be able to climb into the back seats ?

He suggested that we remove the centre seat so that a person could fit through the gap.

This means that someone who is less moble ( ie someone who is fat or old ) could not sit.

Any suggestions ?

We have 3 child restraints and as yet have never used the 3rd row seating. Can imagine it would be hard to get to over the seat.

All 7 seat SUV/4WD would have the same set up so child restraints are always going to be a problem in regards to access though I think the Kluger is the only one that gives the option to remove the centre seat making it a better option for you than most.

Guess it depends on how often you plan to use the 3rd row. The only other choice is a people mover which is designed to have all 7/8 seats used on a daily basis.

Good Luck

I use the back row 2 days a week and fold it back down when not in use, to increase boot space.

We have 3 car seats in the 2nd row. Normally its a 6 year old climbing through the boot to get into the 3rd row. but I have done it a few of times myself climbing over the boot which was very difficult weighing over 100kg. Still beats removing the child seats first.

For an older person obviously this is not practical.

Depending on the configuration at the time, we either have two seats in the middle row and leave the middle seat of the middle row out. Or, we put one or two of the baby capsules in the third row, using the anchor points we had installed back there.
