Yup im from Perth.

I go to Technik Car Audio in Willeton for TRD stuff.  Whilst they don't stock it in they will order the gear from America or Sydney depending on what you want.

So good to have someone in perth, actually i am not a "real" toyota owner now, coz i am buying the facelifted sportivo, but my dealer told me they dont have any in Perth, and i have to book one and wait till this week. maybe let's get together when i get my car, ok?

BTW, i've saw the facelifted rolla levin, its  windows are all automatic electric.  Can any one tell me that is it the same in Stivo??

The sportivo 2003-2004 windows are all "power-windows".

Note: only the driver side is fully automatic e.g. single-press to wind the window down/up. The rest requires that you hold down wind down/up button.

The Levin i am talking is 2005, all windows are single-press to wind the window down/up. Hope the STIVO 2005 has the same feature!!!!!!

BTW, i am going to check out the new stivo in perth tomorrow, hope to have some pics for you guys :lol:

hi all!

im from perth too with a 2002 ascent (all stock).

has anyone seen a white sportivo around uwa? its gotta sportivo grille as well. looks very schmick.

ive also seen a wicked looking one around crawley. looked very similar to this http://www.hot.ee/ger/heikkimyyk02.jpg from the back and i think it had stickers down the sides...

i've bought a stivo tonight!!  it is a cascade blue baby :P

hope to get it some days later!!!

You will be pleased to know you bought the fastest colour :D

1000km, 2000km, or like some said, 10,000km?

there are different consensuses about this.

some say, take it easy for 1st 10,000km then fang it; whilst other's say fang it from day-0. :ph34r:

it all depends on how long you intend to keep the car...

For the 1st 1000K's drive it as you would like it to be driven at the end of the run in period, whatever you choose, this tunes the ECU and also allows the engine to 'move' and 'bed itself' before everything is tightened at the 1000K service. After that most ppl here waited about 5-10,000 k's before hitting lift. But for the 2ZZ engine a set run in period is not actually required.

hey guys,

yeah...the white stivo at uwa with the grill is in my garage :D only performance mod i've got is the cai under the bonnet, and other minor mods include the mentioned grill, eyelids, light bulbs and pedals.

it 'was' the first stivo around uwa, but now there's a couple silvers, a red, a black or two around. B)

i'm all up for a stivo get together sometime.

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3. I have only found one place that I can get a new short motor built but that is in the USA and they do ship to australia but was hoping to find something in australia Thanks for help. Dragon

      2007 Corolla Sedan rear seatbelt question

      Hi everyone, new member here. I've got a small problem which I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I've read the "read me first" thread and done a forum search so apologies if this ends up being a repost. Ok, so I've just has a bloody mouse chew through the rear seat and half (but only half) of every rear seatbelt. Which is nice. So I need to replace them. The problem I appear to have is that none of the local breakers have any suitable vehicles that I can pull them from and the ones I ordered and was sent from the bay of fleas has the wrong brackets on, despite being allegedly for that vehicle. Further searches come up with every seller showing the wrong bracket, so either I've got a special car which is different just because, or (more likely) they don't know their ****s from their elbows what they're selling. I'm after some aftermarket ones as they never get used and just need to be there to get through rego so don't really want to spend a heap of cash I don't have on genuine parts if I can avoid it. I've replaced the centre one (a mate just randomly had it in a box in his shed, which was handy) but still need the left and right. I've attached the bracket type I pulled from the car and need. Is this a standard generic Toyota seatbelt or specific to the 2007 Corolla sedan? Does is need to be specifically for the rear left and right or do front ones fit? Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket pair? I will really, really appreciate any help offered with this, I know my way around a box of tools but very little about mechanikicing (which is part of the reason why I bought this car - something simple to learn on as repairs/replacements become due) and this is a simple fix which is turning into a drawn out headache.       Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had this issue. I recently purchased a 2007 200 series landcruiser, and the amplifier for the air con unit stopped working. Part number 88650-60D60. (Looks like a circuit board) All controls for the air con now do not work, very frustrating in winter when you dont have any way to unfog your windscreen. Toyota have informed me that they no longer produce this part, and there is nothing superseeded to fit in it's place. My question is has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I have got onto an auto sparky who has had a go at fixing the circuit board but its unserviceable. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Engine oil dipstick reading

      Hi guys, Probably a silly question... I'm having trouble reading my engine oil dipstick on my Toyota Hilux 2010 3.0 Turbo Diesel. I have warmed up the engine, turned off for ~10 minutes, parked on a level surface. Pulled out the dipstick, wipe it and insert it back to the bottom and carefully lift it up. I tried so many times and the two sides always look different. I couldn't read it. Maybe I just don't understand how to read it. Could someone help? Thanks a lot!!!
