Question in regards to JDM Mr2 Spyder import

Hey guys im thinking to import a JDM 5speed Mr2 Sypder, since they were never sold in Aus. I got a few question, if some of you guys can help me answer it would be appreciated.

How much is the import cost roughly?

The amount of work and hassel?

Who to use as an import merchant?

Also how hard would it be to do a manual conversion or 2zz on the MrS?

I know RallyArt has done so in the past. I will contact him soon.

mr2s are fun to drive! i drove my mates 1zz Mr2 today with the tiptronic type manual transmission. heaps fun! wouldnt mind putting that kinda transmission in my 1zz if it were possible lol

Which MR2 are you talking about? As far as I can tell you can't import any of them unless you have owned and used it for the 12 month period overseas. I'm thinking you are referring to the MR-S, in that case no, you can't straight out import one for road use since a gearbox does not mean a significant difference between models.
