What is wrong?

Here is a weird problem.

Recently I got Sportivo 17’’ wheels and set of Michelin tyres 235/45R17. Wheels were balanced and aligned. Also last week I had 4 slotted discs and new brake pads installed. All works great however time to time when I brake the steering wheel turns to the left or right but it doesn’t do it all the time. The problem appeared after wheels and tyres were fitted. My brakes were due for the change and I hoped it might help but it still happens.

I thought that it might be because of wider, low profile tyres.

Any ideas what it might be wrong?

I was told at work that it might be a case. Will it change when I change tyres to 235/55R17 or 225/55R17?

How old is the sportivo and has the front end been checked. If the lower control arm bushes have wear in them the braking and acceleration will move the control arm at ball joint ( lower mounting point for the strut) forward and backward causing the steering to move in your hand. With taller profile tyres this problem will not be so obvious. Lower profile tyres will exagerate any front end problems.
