Hey guys just wondering if anyone has a uhf installed in their kluger. I have to put one in and was thinking about getting the blank control panel for the heated seats and mounting it in there. Any thoughts or pics of installs would be great. cheers scott

G'day Scott,

I bought a remote mic UHF because I could not see a neat way of integrating one with the Kluger dash (KX-S). So, my radio is mounted under the seat, and is fully controlled from the handset. I have the handset clip mounted on the side of the centre console. Also when choosing your radio, you might like to know that the ACMA is proposing to open the UHF band up to an additional 40 channels, so if you can afford it, buy a radio that is programmable above the normal frequency range - more here

Hope that helps!

Gidday Scott,

I've been thinking about a UHF also.

A guy at work had a GME installed in his pathfinder. Was completely hidden except for a small socket to plug the handset into. All the controls are on the handset. When not in use, unplug the handset and hey presto, no radio.

Wasn't cheap though, I'm thinking around $750 fully installed. Can get info for you if your interested. Cheers Marty

thanks guys was getting a gme 3420 remote face. Which also allows police channels to be programed into it  Will look into the other. I dismissed it at first becuase of the mic button was one of the water proof type, which ive had to replace 3 times in the truck in 2 years. But prob wouldnt get abused as much in the car <_< All good ideas keep them comming guys. cheers scott
