Help! Urgent advice needed regarding wheel alignment!

Recommended Posts

G'day... This afternoon we reversed into a tree in a local park. Although there isn't any panel damage if you don't include the mudguard getting a fair scratch, most of the impact Was at the drivers side rear tyre which now makes some squeaking noises and my wife said it now looks as though that corner looks as though it's limping! Any ideas as to how much this will cost to repair?

Bridgestone select got a $65 alignment for all 4 tyres, + 3 mnth warranty n stuff. The only other quote I got was for 80.. But then there's the issue of the damage that may have been done to the car... Hoping n preying it won't cost an arm and a leg.. The car is booked 4 tuesday.. Frikken long wait till then... Stupid long weekends come at the wrong times 4 me.

Ok I've just taken the car home and it wasn't the big mess I was expecting. The wobbliness in the wheel wasn't because the rim was broken or anything. Nothing was actually bent. The nuts were tight and alignment was actually very good overall. The only thing is the entire rear drivers side wheel was loose and at risk of falling off! they just tightened it up. While they were fixing that, they had this deal which included front n rear wheel alignment, balance and nitrogen in all 4 tyres, 3 mnth warranty for $79! The squeak was gone, and it was the first time I saw my car driven be someone else since I've put the rims and the kit on the car... no more dramas! The guy said the camber was off by a smidgen, but that can't be adjusted and it's well within normal range.. I've got a printout of all the data if you were interested in looking @ what they checked out on their computers. Wasted a long weekend could have spent it up at lake macquarie but yea. Happy az now!
