Paseo Starter Motor

Recommended Posts

My starter motor has stopped working so I'm hoping to replace it with a Starlet one I have, does anyone know if these are an exact fit? Also, does anyone know why they sell solenoid reconditioning kits in the U.S. but the starter I got off the Starlet appears to be a sealed unit? Are you supposed to 'unseal' it with a Dremel or something :)

So it turns out the Starlet starter motor fitted. The connector for the solenoid was different (mine is a 91 Paseo, the starlet was newer I think 95?) so I ended up making an 'adapter' out of the old connector. Starts fine now.
