KXS 6 disc cd player

Has anyone had trouble with their 6 disc player in their 07 onwards kluger? i mentioned it to toyota and without even checking, they have ordered a new one...

Seems like they are fully aware of this fault where it wont play cds properly(like its scratched and jumps constantly,

also bluetooth is terrible, they said the new unit will be able to adjust the mic volume??

Anyone had it changed?

Or know of other parts which have gone faulty and was replaced pronto?

I know the Bluetooth is terrible, but havent heard anything about the cd not playing...

Apparently the new unit has an adjustment for the mic, which means hopefully the other party can hear us!

Fingers crossed it has the usb port as well that would be fantastic like the newer models!

I had my unit changed cos the bluetooth was crap. No one could understand me over 60 kph. The new one doesn't have the problem anymore. Never had a problem playing cd's tho.

USB port will be Awesome but i dont think it will have that anytime soon...

Its in the new KLUGER! i dont know if the updated cd player has it, but it looks nearly identical,

Yes your right, it does have USB, i just saw the specs... :whistling:

Yea it does work great from USB directly but my only problem is no shuffle functionality.

You can go next previous song or to next previous folder.

I think I need to create more folders till someone tell me how to shuffle songs from USB.

Raised the issue regarding terrible audio on other end of the line with the bluetooth handsfree in my KX-S today at the service. I was told the unit was checked and a replacement with updated firmware was being ordered. I was advised the test method was to use a iPhone 4 to check call quality. Given the recent events in Japan, parts are at least 6-8 weeks away.

ours was replaced, no USB:(

But the volumn control is now further from the side which means i can actually turn the knob without issue! Bluetooth working fine and cd player working too lol

That does suck to a point. At least the replacement unit works alot better.

Had mine replaced on Friday. Voice doesn't cut in and out anymore, but am told I sound like I'm talking right up against the microphone. Replacement unit is the same as the old one but with updated firmware.
