Hi everyone

I currently have a '09 camry altisse and saw some scuff plates selling on the internet.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on them? Are they worth getting? Is it just a direct fit over the plastic moulding?

I'm not looking at the illuminated ones, just the plain standard ones.

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Kinezo - I have the genuine Toyota 'Sportivo' scuff plates for the rear (they come standard in the front but I had to get a pair for the rear). They require removing the old ones and then fitting the new, basically the rears are a longer piece of plastic so they "clip" over the bodywork (I have the old ones in a plastic bag, they are quite long!). I didn't install them though and already had fronts so I'm not sure how they attach, I'm assuming they just 'clip on' as well.

But they're definitely worth it, I'm a pedantic clean freak and its much easier to clean footprints off the plastic :)

Hi Tash, thanks for your reply. Would you have any pics of the scuff plates on your car?

Hi u54mot, when i enquired about the illuminated scuff plates at the local dealer i nearly fell to the floor when i was told the price. And that didn't include installation!!

If anyone else has any pics of after market scuff plates in their car, and would like to share, i would love to see them.

Thanks
