Wheel Speed Sensor on AE112 Sportivo

Recommended Posts

So, my precious little ROL14 decided to through some scary lights on my dash in the way of an ABS and brake system warning light.

Upon investigation with a generic scan tool, found a LHR wheel speed sensor 'switch malfunction'.

My question to yáll is this - Has anyone replaced one of these before and if so - what kinda price should I be paying for a sensor??? :g:

I will be ringing Toyota to confirm but just thought I'd run it past you folks to get the general idea of what I'm up against.

Thanks folks

That doesn't mean it's a sensor straight off the batt man..

It's/most sensors like this are hall effect sensors, faster the ring gear spins past the sensor the more voltage it creates. This gear can and I have seen on other cars gets dirty of crrap and the sensor reads incorrectly, the gap between the sensor and the gear is incorrect I've seen aswell..

Wiring from your abs module to the sensor is a possible aswell

Abs module has sheet itself

But more than likely yeh your sensor has had the d!ck & requires replacement
