Interior Gear Knob surround

Hi guys,

i'm wondering if the gear knob surround should have some form of light?

At night when i'm driving, i can't see the P, R, N, D at all. I just purchased the Aurion so i'm not sure if the bulb blew or it's meant to be dark?

Open the centre console, quick search here will show you how. It's been posted several times here. Check connection, if connection fine. Replace bulb. Mine had blown when the car was on about 65K.

My letters light blew just after 12 months, check out this video, should help, the shifter gate/slot's light is at the back of the shifter assy, a T5 bulb that just twists out, if is under warranty Toyota should fix it, here is a pic of mine, I changed to LEDs in red and blue but as above, see if it's a loose connection or blown bulb.

I changed both the T5 bulbs in mine also to LED's, white ones in my case. Looks alot crisper and brighter and matches the rest of the lighting in the car :) easiest thing to change and the bulbs only cost a few dollars on eBay

Ya i saw this youtube clip. It looks easy for the column to come out from the dash. How was it for you Josh?

Never considered white but it would match in and give it a good crisp look as you said.
