Coolant Leak 2008 Aurion
Supa clean top end of the engine, if only the owner kept an eye on the coolant level & acted once noticing it missing. I love SpeedKar, so much knowledge on Toyota motors & great informative videos. -

Looking for a hard to find part
Hi, Thanks for your reply and sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, been feeling pretty crappy, turns out I had something called Covid, you might have heard of it?? I looked up that part you signposted, it wasn't the right one but it led me to look at one that was for LN60, which is closer but still not quite the same. Looks like I might be trying to cast it myself!!! LOL, that should be fun. Thanks though buddy. -

White Pearl Paint cracking & peeling on a Prado
And rightly so. Congratulations Craig. Your perseverance has paid off and this will no doubt pave the way for others to follow. Good thing with NCAT/QCAT etc, is that there is NO Appeal ! Decisions are final. When will the work begin you think ?? Have you any particular shop in mind or will Toyota be handling the process ? Toyota should've just done the honourable thing and fess up and own the issue from the start instead of having the affected people go through all the stress and energy to fight them on this. You should post up some photos ( if you already haven't) of the current state of your vehicle and then a follow up set when it's all done. It would be nice to see the car in it's new skin. Well done- 1

Coolant Leak 2008 Aurion
Haha, nice video ash. I've watched a few of his videos in recent times. He certainly knows his way around engines and knowledgeable too. It looks like it got the upgraded water pump, but it was too late by then lol... Bonus for him too as he can keep it for his car, as he stated 😁 I don't think he likes his wife all that much either, cos in all his videos, he always references using his "wife's" dresses for mopping up the oil mess 😆 The owner of that engine drove it to death while the pump was leaking, slowly losing coolant over time elevating the engine temperature. Such a shame because the the top end was practically mint. You can see how the sludge started forming in the sump and around the skirts of the pistons as a result of the coolant mixing into the oil, burning off, and finding its way into the lower sections. Higher than normal operating temperature over time warping the block creating seepage. It's a shame it took Toyota this long to provide an upgraded water pump. I wonder how many other 2GR's grenaded due to the rubbish water pumps before this. Nevertheless, He's pretty impressed by how well built and strong the 2GR-FE is, but they do have their vulnerabilities with the complex lubricating system, which is why you need to keep on top of the maintenance, especially the regular oil changes ! 6 bolt mains too !! 💪- 2

Coolant Leak 2008 Aurion
This YouTube video about the tear down of the 2GR-FE engine appeared in my viewing list. Presumably, the water pump failed or there was a significant coolant leak and the owner continued driving. The engine overheated resulting in blown head gaskets. Surprising how clean the valve covers and timing gear is but still sludge is present in the piston rings and other engine internals.- 1

How to change front wheel bearing 2009 corolla
Does the replacement hub need to be pressed into the knuckle or do it just rely on four bolts. Can only find videos on changing the bearing only not the entire hub .I’m hoping all I have to do is unbolt the lower suspension arm ,slide out axle ,unbolt old hub and replace with a new one Tried to buy just bearing but can only get an entire hub which would make the job a lot easier for me Any links to videos ,assembly drawings would ‘be much appreciated Regards Kevin
