Aurion 09 reverse sensor problems with towbar

Are they going off as if you have backed up really close to something? If so they may be sensing the top of the tow bar. Did you have the tow bar fitted at a Toyota dealer? If you had it fitted by Toyota I would take it back and explain the problem to them, if it is because of the placement of the tow bar they should fix it free of charge. If its not because of the tow bar, is your car still under warranty?

No the towbar was fitted by an independant fitter and since then the sensors go off not every time but most times I reverse.

Do you have pictures you could put up at all? If you do that would really help.

It is my understanding that the wiring looms + trailer plug fitted by Toyota (and by Hayman Reece installers) incorporated a suppressor to stop interference between the towbar and reversing sensors. Perhaps an enquiry to Toyota to see if you can get hold of a suppressor.
