Brake rotor nut

I'm removing the brake rotor off the vehicle. the is a nut in the centre of the rotor holding it to the axle. its big I'm guessing bigger then 30 mm.

Photo? Sounds like you're referring to the axle nut, which doesn't hold the rotor to the hub (it holds the axle, hub and wheel bearing together).

Brake rotors usually come off by removing the caliper and then simply pulling the rotor outwards - if it is stuck then there are usually some tapped holes which you can screw a bolt in to that will "jack" the rotor away from the hub (handy if it is all rusty and seized)

Thanks for your help guys. First time pulling off the brake assembly and was struggling to get them off as they have been on there for awhile. I took to it with a hammer and a piece of wood worked a treat.
