Magnaflo Mufflers

Anyone got one and is it very loud? it was reccomended to me by a good friend in the exhaust industry and he reckons they are not loud and will give me a bit more mid range torque. Any one with any experience?

YES they ARE loud. i've only got just a rear muffler. and for just a rear muffler its fairly loud. but once the car has warmed up u can't hear it when idling. but i think they are quite good.

Correct. Magnaflow mufflers aren't very load at all. They do have a deep note, but they're not excessively loud like most stainless steel mufflers.

They do cost a bit though, not cheap.

Look good, sound good.

They should give you a little more mid range...that's if you don't get a straight through design.

PS. this is on a lancer. but can't be that much of a difference to the stivo. besides the top end of course =)

Shao and I 'had' an exact same power curve on the dyno (my exhaust stock) [shao magnaflow]but we didnt check torque. Will have to look into it ;)

Which Magnaflow do you guys have. I have a person who will supply it to me for 250. Dan im not worried about power at all... did you check the torque curve>

Im a lil paranoid about the sound of it. I dont want loud at all. Why do you say it is VERY loud but when it idles you cant hear it. They are very big extremes. Any more info guys? Anyone in melb with just a magnaflow muffler on their stivo?
