Random ZRE152 Questions Part IV

Gents,

I've had my 150-series Conquest sedan for three years now, and have covered 51k in that time. I'm still learning new things about it.

Today I have a few more questions!

1. Have you ever noticed that if you turn the key on half way between ACC and ON, you get the thermo fans roaring at full speed? Why does it do this?

2. I found the fuse puller! There is one, in the fusebox under the bonnet. Just none in the fusebox under the glovebox though.

3. Spark plugs. What's the general concensus on which ones, when to change, any tricks to change? Seeing as the car is coil-on-plug, do you need dielectric grease or just pop em on?

3. get the iridium ones, so you dont have to change them often.

With spark plugs, they are a smaller than usual 14mm type. And yes, iridiums are the go with them. They are replaced at 100000km. I find that they aren't even worn badly when I replace them at work on customers ZREs.

Thanks for the info Gents. Yeah point two was more of a statement/info than a question.

I'll give the sparkplugs a go in a few weeks, coming up to 100k soon.
